No rock star can match Springsteen's overall career

Bruce Springsteen goes by the nickname "The Boss." There may come a day, however, when he's generally known by another moniker:
"The Best."

Dear God, I love Bruce, but this is crazy talk. Malign "Steel Wheels" and "Bridges to Babylon" all you want, but there's simply no sane argument that can be made that Bruce's post-"Tunnel of Love" output is in any way superior to that of the Stones post-"Some Girls" -- let alone that Bruce has in any way reached the high water mark of the Beatles and Dylan.

Critics had all but written Bruce off after the Human Touch/Lucky Town debacle and the long (virtual) silence that followed (pace "The Ghost of Tom Joad"). Add to that the wildly overpraised "Rising" and "Magic" -- fine albums, but neither a "return to the masterpiece business," to quote EW's all-wet Chris Willman.

Again, I adore Bruce, but these critics need to change their shorts, have a coffee and catch their breath.

Looks like Pammy & I had identical seats! And Gazza, I swear that we didn't specify "ass view" when we went on Ticketmaster.

Come to think of it, maybe Pam did.

'maybe' is right!

PS - like the footer quote..LOL

SweetVirginia Let me know if you ever get your Fan Club DVD and I'll change my footer quote. I predict that quote will be there for a good long time....

It sure looks that way, huh?
And not to fret, partner...my seat tonight is just one section over. You are correct! I specifically requested that area...LOTS of ass (and package checking) for my viewing pleasure

And why is Gazza so nervous over us talking "ass"?

So, if you'll excuse me, I have an executive meeting with the Boss shortly - gotta run!

(Meg - I got your text, LMAO - catch up with you tomorrow!)

Meh, 'cept maybe Pittsburgh or Fenway.

If you decide to come to Pitt, I know a great place near by to meet for dinner, although its not a little cafe down San Diego way, where they play guitars all night all night and all day.

i think they stopped coming when ronnie joined - pics and footage from 72 show that they were there (greenfield mentions it too) - maybe they were around a bit too in 75 - but after that they are hard if not impossible (because they're not there) to see

a new game - pics of stones crowds - spot the black people!!
