This looks very interesting. I heard a very good sounding U2 ALD, I didn't like the ones I heard from no Security that much... The U2 ald made me wish I liked that band more, it was very good quality...
I don't understand the process used to combine the ALD aaud., but I'm hoping it makes my goosebumps get goosebumps.

I will start seed it now, but I have to pause after a hour or two. Then I will be back seeding this at tomorrow morning.

No offense to the original seeder but I have just downloaded this and compared these two sources with the original lowgen torrents this bootleg was made of: The 07-18-72 (Joey Maloney source) torrent which was posted at the dime earlier this year and the 07-19-72 torrent I posted at the Trader´s Den.
Believe it or not, but DAC has managed to make these sound A LOT worse than the original lowgen versions. If you want the best possible quality stay away from this bootleg. It´s CRAP.

The torrent for the ORIGINAL 07-19 source is still active and can be found here: http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/showthread.php?t=7967

A torrent for an alternate and better sounding 07-18-72 source is still active as well: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=50948

Again, no offense to the original seeder and thanks for posting this. I just wanted to point out that the best possible versions for these shows can be found elsewhere.

I didn't say that this is best ever release. I didn't knew that those other sources are better. I didn't even know they exist. I just thought that some might like to have a copy of this DAC release.

Some quotes from hotwacks:

"Disc one of this set uses the second tape source to have surfaced for this show. The older source was used for the previous releases including They're Really Rockin' In Boston on Vinyl Gang (VGP-020) which was rather poor and cut between the songs. Earlier this year the Exile label also released their set featuring this newer source called Midnight Gamblers (EXM-09A/B). Jailhouse Rock sounds much warmer (Exile tend to master tapes to sound very harsh), speed corrected and with a complete "You Can't Always Get What You Want"."

"The second disc contains the complete July 19, 1972 show the following night. This concert was previously released Ginsoaked Barroom Queen in Boston on the Weeping Goat record label (PB5105E). This is a two source mix which uses a different source for the first part of the showup to "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and this second source. Jailhouse Rock is the first release of the complete second source. The sound quality is several notches below the previous night, being distant and thin sounding. The actual concert is much better however."

"Overall this is a very good release and the best these tapes will sound until something better is found. DAC don't make a mess with the tapes like to create very smooth sounding titles."

Of course that is only the reviewers opinion. Maybe he/she hasn't heard the better version which T&F has seeded at other tracker.

Sometimes I wonder why bother to upload anything.
