RollingStones_11_11_05_DRAKE_REMASTER

Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen,

Below is the original textfile as presented with the original recording. After hearing the raw recording I contacted Zepdog (the taper) and asked if he was cool with me remastering the show. He gave me the go ahead so here it is. The original recording was listenable but I knew it had much more unexploited potential. The mix is now completely in your face. If you've heard the original then you'll greatly appreciate this remaster. Great show IMHO, and thanks again to Zepdog for the recording!

As far as the dropouts are concerned, I did my best to keep the recording intact while removing these gaps and pops. The few times it occurs are listed in the original text below, but those spots are now in mono from the uninterupted chanel and it resumes stereo feed after the connection is reestablished.

Thanks to rocksoff.org for the tracker!

Play it loud.
[email protected]

(If you have any raw recording you would like me to attempt to remaster just drop me an email. Sometimes nothing can be done, sometimes ALOT can be done.)

626MB Flac
1.21GB Wav

Notes:

As you'll hear Mick tell it, the first ever concert at Petco Park. No better band to break it in, now is there? This show (IMO) definitely reaffirms The Stones' mantra of The Greatest Rock 'N Roll Band In The World. Believe it or not, 43,000 fans were there (for San Diego), our seats were Field Box 110, Row 13, Seats 6-7, just outside the floor. Thanks to Lucie, my hot Sri Lankan/French equipment assistant. Seats happened to be just about between two speaker stands, I believe the sound quality to be very good. I've attached a sample, you can decide. They jammed out 22 songs, over 2 hours, including one of my all time personal favorites, As Tears Go By, one of the first few times they've done it in the last 40 years. Jagger was running around up there like he was half his age. He also shows off some of his baseball knowledge by mentioning David Wells, the ex-Padre starting pitcher! Stage setup was elaborate and awesome, the concert ended with a very cool fireworks display. There are two slight sound glitches, as I realize now that it looks like I have a loose connection in one of the mics. About 15 seconds of Start Me Up where you will lose sound out of one speaker, and then 20 songs later during You Can't Always Get What You Want, there is also some loss of sound in one speaker for less than a minute or so.

As always, your input and feedback is welcome. Enjoy.

Eberger Hi,

I'm trying to download the 09/25/1981 Philly for a few days now but I am still stuck on 99,3 % together with approx 25 other peers. Can someone please reseed the last part of this? I will seed this for a while until the other peers are served also.

Thanks a lot,
Best,

I had the same problem with that DVD and some others. The problem was the reallocation files, Nero failed to reallocate the video files (and I still don't know why that happens). Well, in that case, I use CloneDVD2, DVD Shrink or InterVideo DVDCopy to 'reencode' again (with NO compression), and the files are reallocated again in a correct order. After that, I use Nero again to burn the files to a DVD-R without any problem.

Good luck !

joguema Yesterday, I tried to burn a DVD with NERO and NERO told me that it missed a certain .BUP file.

So I copied the pertaining file to another folder, renamed it to xx_xx_xx.BUP, copied this .BUP file to the folder where it was missed and then burned the DVD without any more errors.

beer Enough of the quoting huge posts just to say thanks. Just say thanks once and leave it at that or PM it. No reason to get things more cluttered than they already are.

and another thing, as long as people can join a torrent, complete it and bail, they will. There desperately needs to be guidelines on the RO tracker.

my 2 cents....
