Nope..and he doesnt charge $100 for nothing, either...
7th December 2007 03:52 PM
Nellcote Pay $100, get on the floor, get value added if you are chosen for the pit. Best $100 ever spent.

jb Also, lack of fan package makes it hard for fans willing to pay to get the premium seats which is unfair imo...

Yeah, true..after all, he just sold out almost every stadium on his European tour in a few hours, including instant sell outs in the two biggest football stadiums in Europe (with the third biggest - Madrid - yet to come)...in fact he had to add a 2nd show at Barcelona in a stadium that seats 99,000...

He's certainly far bigger in the NE USA than the rest of the country, but I think his fans in Philadelphia and Boston may take issue with that "only a NJ phenomenon" claim.

jb Say what you want, but the Stones Fan Asylum was a great value..shame Springsteen won't do that for his UK fans.

And how much is he charging? Probably a cheap ticket to get that many fans?

... you raise an interesting point my Seminole ( Hollywood , FL ) Hard Rock Cafe' loving pal .

jb It comes down to what the artist is willing to do for their fans...like it or not, Stones do a lot of nice things other bands, like Springsteen do not.

This, IMO, is similar to Garth Brooks selling out nine nights in KC with a $28 dollar ticket. Cheap tickets, sadly, only clog the stadiums with drunks/aggressive fans by and large. It is not catered for the fan who enjoys to be separate from the rowdiness.

Have you tried calling for tickets on your new international phone line yet jb?

Bruce is doing it for the common man, as that is who he is. Someone overheard that as he quickly climbed into his luxury car to be led away via police escort, no?

Thank fuck for that. The less of those ego-trippers at shows the better (present company excepted as youre a real fan).

Its called equality. Apparently he doesnt believe in one section of his fanbase getting priority over the rest (in this case, based on wealth). Much fairer system, although personally I wish he did have some kind of fan club package (NOT like the Stones/Fan Asylum rip offs, which are a disgrace) which would cut down on some of the scalping and e-bay crap.

He's taken measures against that on previous tours, but on the last 2 ESB tours, its been GA on the floor so the issue of scalpers and brokers buying up front row floor seats doesnt really arise

and the problem with being fan friendly for a rock n roll audience is what, exactly?

Tickets for the US shows are $99. I think the Giants Stadium shows announced today also have some cheaper ones. Its funny reading on the Springsteen sites people complaining about how much his prices have gone up in recent years! LOL
