Bloozehound Rollin' With The Flow
By Charlie --the Silver Fox-- Rich

Once was a thought inside my head,
‘Fore I’d reach thirty I’d be dead.
Now somehow on and on I go-o-o.
I keep on rollin’ with the flow.

Folks said that I would change my mind.
I’d straighten up and do just fine.
Ahh, but I still love rock and ro-o-oll.
I keep on rollin’ with the flow.

I don’t guide my age on raisin’ kicks.
I’m raisin’ hell just like I did.
I’ve got a lot of crazy friends,
And they forgive me of my sins.

Some might be callin’ me a bum.
But I’m still out there havin’ fun.
And Jesus loves me, yes, I kno-o-ow.
So, I keep on rollin’ with the flow.
(keep on rollin’ with the flow)

I don’t guide my age on raisin’ kicks.
But I’m raisin’ hell just like I did.
I’ve got a lot of crazy friends,
And they forgive me of my sins.

Can’t take it with you when you’re gone.
But I want enough to get there on.
And I ain’t ever growin’ o-o-old.
So, I keep on rollin’ with the flow.
(keep on rollin’ with the flow)

I ain’t ever growin’ o-o-old,
If I keep on rollin’ with the flow!
(keep on rollin’…keep on rollin’)

Keep on rollin’ with the flow.
(keep on rollin’…keep on rollin’)

Keep on rollin’ with the flow.
(keep on rollin’…keep on rollin’)

that is a classic!

the album it is from is not too bad, either.

"fatty fatty" is one of the tunes, with lyrics: "i want a fat girl, fat girl, fat girl tonight!"

Mac Daddy - Try giving a listen to Root Boy Slim and The Sex Change Band's, 'Dare To Be Fat' Sounds like you might enjoy it -

"She's got a shape that makes me drool;
She weighs in at 202, Lord, I'm a fat girl's fool.
That's fine with me, I'm portly too!
Baby, dare to be fat, fat is where its at,...
Having a ball with cholesterol, fat don't matter at all."

Unfortunately, the Root died from a heart attack, alone in his bed not less than a decade ago - as fat does matter. No more great subterranean classics from his mind.

Regards, W.D.

love to hear your x tape. i was fifteen feet from the stage (DFC), and the mosh pit broke out right in front of me, whioh is par for the course, but i was getting flanked. i can deal with anything that i see coming my way, and still pull a good tape, but when the shit comes from behind me, too, who knows? and one of those fat sixteen year olds could have shoved me right into the pit, and i can't have that with gear on, running tape. so i bailed, although getting out of there was almost as hazardous...

got cvb though, and i am transferring that now...

someone has been doing the stg/easytree thing i wish more people around here would get into lossless - it would be soooo much easier to share, and we could share volumes, but even though there are alot of broadbanders here, the idea of lossless encoding of music doesn't seem to fly around here. i am glad to see another bit torrenter around. we are few and far between

Dan It sounds like you were where I was most of the day but I had to really take a leak before Camper Van Beethoven, thankful I had an empty gatorade bottle ;-0, and I didnt want to deal with the crowd anymore, so I was right up against the fence by the streetlight on the other side. Yep, once of the people who would have been responsible if the fire marshall decided to shut the show down. I was right under that stupid crazy fucker doing the pole dance, afraid he was going to fall on me. Only because I saw him smoke a joint and down a 40 of Miller High Life before X went on. Now that I didnt get hurt or break anything I can say it was fun! But I definitely didnt want to be on the pavement.
People beating on the fence is quite audible.
The real entertainment both days was sitting by the Bush booth and watch the reactions of the people walking by. Wish I had a video camera.
I once got body slammed at an Iron Maiden concert at the San Diego Sports Arena. All the chairs disappeared and it became a GA show. It was still pretty mellow til Number Of The Beast when a huge pit broke out and I got bodyslammed. Knocked the battery holder right out of the D8. It was a bad deck already but that made it just a little bit worse!

I still dont have a home computer.

mac_daddy shut down, heh? i am not surprised - classic scene. i arrived pretty deep into love's set, stood on the sideline, and moved into position after the band finished [might go to the ebell to see the zombies and love, but i am not hitting spaceland this week for the forever changes and de capo shows]. anyway, no problem for cvb, but when X came on, the crowd directly in front of me simply erupted. like i said, i can stand my ground and push folks back into the bit, and you wont ever hear it on tape (my watt/hurley pull is proof of that). but i could feel them in back (cant look when taping ). i couldnt believe my eyes when i turned around. ..

there were alot of fucked up people there.

how many tunes did X play?

were you on the north or south side of the street?

i think i can scrounge up an old 'puter for you; you would be on your own with the soundcard, however. send me a pm.

Cant Catch Me The Heptones' "Book of Rules" is a fantastic song.

I've got it on a collection that also has another fave, "Cokane In My Brain" by Dillinger.

Listened to "Black and Blue" yesterday.

Today I'm rollin' steady with Trouble Funk, "Live," or as it says on the cover, "Go-Go Dance with Trouble Funk, Straight Up Funk Go-Go Style."

Also spinning Trouble Funk's "Early Singles." It's vintage go-go from a classic D.C. go-go band, one of the first, and if you've never heard Washington, D.C.-style go-go music you oughta' check some out.

I don't know why go-go never broke big nationally, but it's funkier and more fun than any rap I've ever heard.

hey CCM - can you tell me more about this "go-go" - it's not a term/genre i'm familiar with and having gaps in my musical knowledge makes me feel uncomfortable

thanks man

The Who - Live at Leeds.
Fast becoming, in my eyes almost better live than the Stones ever were!! It sounds as if there was about thirty musicians on stage! Keith Moon is a demigod on them skins!
Fortune Teller is cracking!
The Stooges - On the Street. What a tune - menancing, dirty and almost funky.
Stones - First, and best side of Exile. Nuff said
