Mick Taylor & Jim Lacey-Baker
Cable TV Rehearsals
October 1991

Conversion: ?>CDR>Wav>Flac
Converted by: Fendert
Quality: Excellent / Soundboard

For all the Mick Taylor (former Rolling Stones Guitarist) fans out there this is a real treat.
This is from in the studio with Mick Taylor and Jim Lacey-Baker rehearsing for a cable TV special.
Tracks include some great playing, general conversations and instructions. Again like some of my
previous rehearsal posts this is like sitting in the studio just listening to the musicians
practice and fool around. As Mick Taylor jams he says, "I'm trying to readjust to playing
with a pick" Well I can tell you that there is not much readjustment needed; Mick is
jamming. No artwork sorry, enjoy!

beer Mickboys Exile - I still can't tell if i like this better than the original or not, It sounds really bass heavy or something. The extra tracks are cool though. I have a cassette of Exile that i recorded off of the radio that just might sound better than any other version of Exile i've heard. How weird is that?

40 Licks - I broke down and bought this damn thing a couple weeks ago, I finally got to hear the 3 new songs(Excluding Dont Stop). I like the very beginning guitar part on 'Stealing my Heart', thats about it though. Of course the classics sound amazing.

This is a great sounding pre-Tommy show that features rarities like Little Billy and Relax. There are little skips between each track (they're not gaps like on a TAO CD, but little skips). I don't know how they got there, but they're on my CD-R copy. Maybe someone with more expertise can fix them. Also, track 7, Relax, is cut off in the middle and fades out. Put aside the minor problems and this is a great show with amazing sound

Nashville Soundtrack.
Moon Records of Memphis Rockabilly Comp
The Bush - "Feeling Sad and Lonely" b/w "Got Love If You Want It" - Incredible Stones influenced 60s single on HiBack records. SCORE!

Hey, Polksalad -- have you heard that tribute to Nashville that got released a couple years ago with Neko Case and Dallas Good and Kelly Hogan? Just curious as to its quality . ..

beer Hey Mac-daddy, I'd love to hear yer J Mascis recording. i grew up listening to all that skate punk sorta stuff and i always dug Dinosaur Jr. I always noticed J's lazy laid back singing style, then I totally remember the first time i heard Exile On Main Street and I realized where he got that singing style! it's from the first few lines of "Rocks Off" when Jagger sings in that laid back 'stoner' style.
I think that's where Mascis got it from. He's said that he's a huge Stones fan.
