how is this ANY different from the Roth Era??????

I give you... "EXHIBIT A"
witness this Roth Era review:

The poodle-haired Californian rockers are set to tour with original singer David Lee Roth for the first time since his 1985 departure. A YouTube live video of their biggest UK hit, Jump, recorded at Montreal in 1984 gives a flavour of what we can expect from rock's most unintentionally hilarious frontman. "Show me the lights if you believe in rock'n'roll," hollers Lee Roth, skipping excitedly onto a stage that's bigger than most venues. To the crowd's obvious delight, he sings while performing pirouettes, forward rolls and the inevitable jump (jump!) of the chorus. Then, during the keyboard solo, Lee Roth whips out a gymnast's ribbon and twirls it clumsily around his head. Finally, as the song ends, he holds up a sheet with "JUMP" printed on it, looking like he thinks that's a very profound thing to do. The mind positively boggles as to how Lee Roth will employ two decades' worth of technological advances at the comeback shows.

"....performing pirouettes, forward rolls... then... Roth whips out a gymnast's ribbon and twirls it clumsily around his head."

^ Jeezus H Christmas!! This is the frontman you've been yerning to have back???

ummm.. Excuse me but thats the same gay moves that Cherone does. And yes Cherone sucks donkey balls. But so does Roth. Maybe even more so.

no. Definately more so.

I may not be a fan. But I fail to see any difference between Roth - Hagar - or Cherone. Same shit, just insert a mildly different bozo. To me, its just another ass clown aping it up in front of a cheezy hair metal band.

Ah come on. Roth and the Roth era of VH was a rowdy beer party. It was pomposity for pomposities sake. It was fun. Roth didn't take it seriously. He acted like an ass and ate it up. This Cherone thing is flat out weird.

Anyway, are you really knocking Roth for doing some pirouettes yet you think Chris Robinson is a great front man? Dude that guy's got some seriously gaye moves. Jm. J. Bullock was calling him a faig after this. Pirouette again! Oh baby, yeah play with your hair!

Sway - on a good day, I couldn't agree with you more.

These were given to me by one of our vendors (great seats, too, btw)...and actually, no one in the office wanted them. He couldn't give the damn things away! I felt obligated as he had the saddest look on his face, lol.

Ironically...these same thoughts were running through my head as the vendor left and my cohorts where giving me shit!
(I don't think I'll EVER live this down.)

But....

...and

And this guy...

(... I don't DARE disappoint my buddy moonie!)

I'm looking forward to being totally entertained by the masses - it will be 'people watching' at its best!

Oh! ...one last question: Which Stones T-shirt should I wear?

Yes Parmeda Yes!!
Did I mention it will be loud?
You may see other Stones shirts there.
I predict satisfaction.
What time may we expect a complete review?
PS- Home Depot has a sale on doors.

There's your problem man, thinking Van Halen is a "hair metal band" - you are doing what many uninformed used to do to ACDC is the 80s when they were labeled "heavy metal" - it's not the case.

With Roth, Van Halen were one of the best good time, Louie, Louie band around, and there will never be anyone who rip out guitar chords like Edward Van Halen. Van Halen made the pansified 80s tolerable man, even the hot ass marketing-major chicks with unlimited Versatel cards driving around in Volkswagen bugs dugged guys who dugged Van Halen, man. You needn't be needing to be told that stuff!

Well put Moonie. VH put the party in "party band". Sadly, their reputation was soiled after Roth left and that ass clown Hagar joined. It's been downhill since....

...until this fucking tour!!

Parmy, I'm proud of you. Just keep an open mind and I think you will have a blast!!

Gary Busey While shooting "Lethal Weapon" David Lee Roth and I particulary became compadres.

We had great times. I seem to recall one time in which DLR (as I call him for short -- it stands for David Lee Roth) and I attended a Winger concert. When we went backstage, I mistakingly referred to Kip (Winger) as Barry Gibb, who is also a dear friend of mine. We did so many narcotics during that weekend that I acidentally farted on DLR's mink coat. Let's just say, that it wasn't a fart....but a shart.

We were brazen and thought the coke and 'ludes wouldn't hurt us. Well, we were right. Look at us now.

I was backstage at the opening night show, beggin' DLR and Eddie VH (which stands for Van Halen) to let me open up in my Buddy Holly garb. Needless to say, they let Bob's son open the show and gave me complimentary Evian and Viagra.

I did my air-guitar thing and caught a pick. I feared that the pick may have had some sort of Department of Homeland Security patch on it, so I proceeded to eat it. Needless to say, the government shall never keep tabs on me. Tapping phones....installing secret, tiny weapons into the anuses of squirrels......sticking "snake" cameras in the bathrooms of the local porno stores......and, most mischivously, placing recording equipment into Pop Tarts.

I FEAR (which stands for "False Evidence Appearing Real") that one day we will all be standing on an ant-hill in Guatemala, listening to the calls of the birds. Shh...did you hear that?

Saint Sway OK. Parmeda. For now I am willing to downgrade you to "CC Deville" status... but this is merely a probationary period until I read your review.

Keep in mind that a lot hinges on your review - you could shoot right back up to "Kip Winger" with one mention of having thought that "watching Roth spin around and twirl the red ballet ribbon during Panama really rocked"
