Olbermans ratings are up? What, now there are two people that watch his show instead of one?

As of last night 4/11/06 Olberman's ratings were less than one fourth those of Fox's O'Rielly. Olberman is a partisan hack who was always better on ESPN. He is a laughing stock in the media circles, and if Raspy wants to pretend otherwise I say let him think so! I know many libs that can't even take that fucktard serious. Frankly I'm getting sick of O'Rielly as well, but at least he presents both sides of an argument. People like Raspy just can't stand it when he says things like,"The media is out to destroy this president." Even though that is undoubtably true, libs can't stand hearing it.

A good example of this is the coverage that the NYT gave Abu Garibe. When the story broke two years ago the NYT ran 47 "above the fold" stories about it between April and May of 2004. Compare that to eight "above the fold" stories that they ran about the capture of Saddam in the same time frame and it's hard to argue the liberal slant. They also never once ran a story above the fold about the over two hundred mass graves that have been discovered! Not one story above the fold! Fuck yes this media is trying to destroy this admin! The fact that this admin is stupid enough to let them is the shocker.

Oh,yeah, here's the link to show just how "great" Olberman's ratings are compared to O'Reilly's. Scroll about half way down the page. Olberman the hack continually gets his ass handed to him!

Maybe you should stick with the picture books because you obviously didn't read what I said. Your comment about O'Reilly airing both sides is hysterical and ruins an otherwise coherent post.

As for your "above-the-fold" bullshit, let's see, How many days did the "capture of Saddam" take place and Abu Ghraib story leaked out over how many weeks? I mean it's not like they captured him, let him go, captured him again and again did they? They captured the mook, what more did you want. Abu Ghraib leaked out for weeks. You forget that without the criminal negligence and collusion of the NYTimes and WaPo (which continues to this day, see today's WaPo editorial page), W. probably wouldn't have his illegal war in Iraq.

As for insignificant Olberman, O'Reilly sure is spending an awful lot of time and energy on him lately when he should be concetrating on the continued war against Christians. Who's the laughing stock again?

Riffhard That you think O'Reilly is conservative speaks volumes as to your understanding of true conservativism. He sure as hell does present both sides compared to Olberman! Last week I heard Olberman say this concerning the war in Iraq "This idiotic administration..." at that point I turned him off. He's the hack. To a "progressive",(whatever the fuck that means?)that's like mana from Heaven! Say it Keith!! Go boy,go! Call Bush an idiot! Yeah! That's news baby!! For you to compare them is beyond absurd. It's banal!

Bottom line is this. Hardly anyone watches that fucker because he is so painfully partisan. If you compare the numbers O'Reilly buries him every single week. Why is that? I mean if the country is getting sick of conservatives, and O'Reilly is such a big GOP fan then why would he be getting the best ratings on cable news year in,and year out? For that matter why does Rush get the largest radio ratings in the history of the medium? His AQH ratings(average quarter hour)are better than all of Air America's for an entire week! That means that more people listen to Limbaugh in fifteen minutes on any given day than listen to Airhead America all week long!

I think I already explained why the disparity of ratings. If you'd like I'll be happy to say it again. Repetition seems to work best for Republicans. And I think I understand O'Reilly enough to know what the fuck he is. Riffhard Well shit fire, and save matches. I dun forgot to put an "a" in that thar word! That would be a typo, but thanks for pointing it out.

Look Raspy,I have no problem discussing this topic with anyone in a civil tone, but the second you start with shit like "Republicans need everything repeated to them"...,or,"Rebuplicans need to be told what to think" You have just taken the level of discourse down several notches on the civility meter.

You are new to this bord so I have no idea if you are being sarcastic or not,but that's not the point. That kind of argument is a non starter anyway. It's nothing more than name calling and does absolutly nothing to advance your argument. The only thing it does is piss people off.

I was a liberal for a long time and I am no smarter or ignorant now than I was then. I just got sick of the Dems continual power grab, win at all costs attitude towards politics. A perfect recent example of this is the way they are playing this Immigration issue out. Hypocrite is the word that comes to mind here.

Last week Hillary said she was against amnesty for illegals. Then two days ago at a rally attended by many of these illegals she said,"You are the future of this nation!" Of course she got a huge positive response from the crowd, and a pass by the media for the blatant hypocrisy, but she is talking out of her rather large ass just to score political points. The same goes for Harry Reid who last week had to retract an entire speech he made on this subject back in 1994! Does he really think people are that stupid? Apparently he does. Well I'm not.

In my years of observing these morons inside the beltway both parties are guilty of this kind of shit, but the Dems far more so. How about their new talking point,"the GOP is a culture of corruption"? Please! I mean really! In the 1990's the democrats set the record for scandals, and that is a fact! Now they are trying to sell the idea that Rebuplicans are more corrupt than they are?! Again, please!

Admit it, you were offended by the Riffmaster J comment, weren't you?

Pardon me, but the comments I made were no worse than anything I've seen addressed on this board toward those who may happen to lean left here. And just so I know for future reference, dissing "Republicans" is considered a personal attack here? Where's the fun in that? I've seen plenty here that, if taken personally, this place would be nothing but flame-war central. America haters? Please. C'mon, you seem smarter than that.

It's funny but all those things you accuse the Dems of being guilty of can be found no further than the Republican party looking in the mirror. Win at all costs and power grabs? See Rovie, Newtie and DeLay. Don't start with corruption. It took 40 years of Dem. rule for them to reach the levels of corruption the Republicans have done in 12. So yeah, there's something the Republicans are better at. I do like the "scandal" thing. Millions and millions and millions of US taxpayers money spent and all that you guys, oops, the all-hallowed Republicans could get was a cum stained dress. That Cisneros thing was worth the 10 years and millions wasn't it?

Want to compare corruption?

Bush admin has ZERO convictions

Clinton has 10 alone from the Whitewater investigastion

In addition, 14 Friends of Bills skipped the country, left for good, and are wanted on warrants

Also 1 impeachment

And 1 President disbarred from practicing law

What is your point again?

Does your daughter/niece work for Clinton?

Enjoy:

"According to Ms. Lewinsky, she and the President kissed. She unbuttoned her jacket; either she unhooked her bra or he lifted her bra up; and he touched her breasts with his hands and mouth.(161) Ms. Lewinsky testified: "I believe he took a phone call . . . and so we moved from the hallway into the back office . . . . [H]e put his hand down my pants and stimulated me manually in the genital area."(162) While the President continued talking on the phone (Ms. Lewinsky understood that the caller was a Member of Congress or a Senator), she performed oral sex on him.(163) He finished his call, and, a moment later, told Ms. Lewinsky to stop. In her recollection: "I told him that I wanted . . . to complete that. And he said . . . that he needed to wait until he trusted me more. And then I think he made a joke . . . that he hadn't had that in a long time."(164)
Ms. Lewinsky testified that during this bathroom encounter, she and the President kissed, and he touched her bare breasts with his hands and his mouth.(207) The President "was talking about performing oral sex on me," according to Ms. Lewinsky.(208) But she stopped him because she was menstruating and he did not.(209) Ms. Lewinsky did perform oral sex on him.(210)
Afterward, she and the President moved to the Oval Office and talked. According to Ms. Lewinsky: "[H]e was chewing on a cigar. And then he had the cigar in his hand and he was kind of looking at the cigar in . . . sort of a naughty way. And so . . . I looked at the cigar and I looked at him and I said, we can do that, too, some time."(211)
[T]he President of the United States came out, and he asked me, he says, "Have you seen any young congressional staff members here today?" I said, "No, sir." He said, "Well, I'm expecting one." He says, "Would you please let me know when they show up?" And I said, "Yes, sir."(214

We had . . . had phone sex for the first time the week prior, and I was feeling a little bit insecure about whether he had liked it or didn't like it . . . . I didn't know if this was sort of developing into some kind of a longer-term relationship than what I thought it initially might have been, that maybe he had some regular girlfriend who was furloughed . . . .(222)

Riffhard Let's not forget Abscam. You remember that one right,1978-80? That's the scandal that took down four members of the House, and one Senator. They were all Dems. One,by the way,was their big hero de jour Jack Murtha. The sting also attempted to bribe Senator Larry Pressler (R-SC),he quickly and clearly refused the bribe and was never questioned in the court cases which followed.

Murtha escaped prosecution, but has been a back bencher ever since. Or at least until the Dems could hoist him up as a genuine war hero who was against the war! Dems in DC tend to think the American people are stupid enough to forget this kind of stuff.

If we were to play this tit for tat game of scandals both sides would come out looking dirty, but there have been far more Democrat scandals in the last twenty some odd years then there have been Republican. That's just a fact.

Howe many attacks have we had from Bin Laden since then?

Riffhard Tele let me give you the pat answer from Dem apologists concerning Clinton's scandals. "Well if the GOP was not so gung ho on busting him for a blow job perhaps he would not have been so preoccupied!","It's the Republicnas fault!"

This theory completely let's the Whore in Chief off the hook you see?! Now if Clinton had the moral backbone of your average garden slug the GOP would not have had anything to slam him with. That,of course, does not play well in the minds of the average Clinton apologists. So lets just blame Clinton's immoral un-presidential behaviour on Republicans.

Then we are faced with-

Travelgate
Whitewater
The Rose Law Firm papers
Juanita Brodrick
Paula Jones
Kathleen Wiley
The Lincoln Bedroom for sale to the highest bidder
The Buddhist monastary fund raising scandal
White House Coffee fund raising scandal
Vernon Jordan
Perjury
Obstruction of Juctice
Pardon of Frank Rich who at the time was on the FBI's most wanted list!

And the list goes on from there!

Shit that's just the Clinton Admin alone!

All of these scandals were the Republicans fault though Tele. Don't believe me? Just ask any Clinton apologist. They will tell you the same thing.

Blue,Blue,Blue...You are missing the story here my friend! Remember at the time Clinton was embroiled in an evil Republican witch hunt!! Can't blame him for ignoring Bin Laden! See,that's Bush's fault!

No. Clinton missed the oportunity to act because of Repubs! So let's go over this. Clinton did not get Bin Laden=Republican's fault. The US has not gotten Bin Laden since the 9/11 attack=Bush's fault! Get it now?

Afterall,Clinton is the greatest president since FDR!!
