Thw Wick,

Do not misunderstand me...Mick has the right to say WHATEVER he wants to. That's what makes America great. I also have the right to say WHATEVER I want to as well and what I'm saying is that I think it sucks that Mick has had to bring politics into the Stones. Apparently Keith Richards would prefer there weren't political lyrics in the Stones songs either!!

news flash--politics has been in Stones songs previous to this

texile the notion that the stones should stay clear of politics baffles me as someone who fell in love BECAUSE thier music had cultural resonance - have the last 25 years of cultural IRRELEVANCE made some of the righties a little too comfortable. as for keith's apolitical stance......keith doesn't give a shit about anything! so that isn't saying much......

Isn't it funny how the truth hurts? And in case you forgot, you started the name calling by insulting an entire population of the world indiscriminately. But I forgot, the world has no meaning for people like you. There is nothing wrong with insulting racist pricks like you. Like I said, you're a prick and I wish I could say it to your face over and over again.

the good Sean Hannity just ripped the Stones for 20 minutes over this. It's a shame, because some of this fuss will certainly overshadow the quality of the new material and put a damper on the tour. Here we go.
August 9th, 2005 03:27 PM
nankerphelge True enough -- that was Maxy's point.
It will throw that Dixie Chick cloud over the tour.

Hell I have a good friend (conservative) that was interested in seeing them in Charlottesville -- I was gonna give him my tix -- now he is not so sure he wants to go.

And you are right -- won't make much of a difference, if at all, except for those few shows that are not selling.

That's if you believe the sell outs How many times have we been lead to believe a venue was sold out only to see more seats released in a second wave of "pre-sales".

Plus there is the matter of the album itself selling. This is something I was really looking forward to do well.

Did he really? Man, it will be damn hard to guess what he said. What a freakin' high gear queer the guy is.

"Whahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! The Rolling Stones have a song entitled Sweet Neo Con, I don't know the lyrics, but I head that it may indirectly insult a dimwit U.S. president that I've never met!!!!! That hurts me so much that I need to tell everyone!!! Help me, help help me!

Help me, help help me! Help me....."

telecaster Mick has lost his mind, or at least his marketing skills

Between the sickening "Being Mick" shown on Thanskgiving Day in the US to Dogshit in the Doorway selling 900 copies the first day he is losing it

It is almost as if one of his teen daughters is running the show

Timberlake
Being Mick
Dogshit
Detroit

The way this whole album/tour is being brought out in pieces

Street of Shit

Now this Neo Con crap
Wow

I am scared
August 9th, 2005 03:51 PM
Moonisup the press is scared, the neo cons are scared, not the stones, they don't care, it's just a song, things are taken much to seriously

That's an interesting observation. However, since we are already in August, and showtime is fast approaching, I really do not think that is factor if you are talking about the after sales available at rolling stones.com. I don't think they had all that many tickets available. Where the tickets will become availalbe is when tickets are freed up close to the day of the show.

I've been buying tickets for over 30 years and most shows, including those listed on the above list in all probability, have tickets available as the show approaches (normally a few days before or the day of the show). They are not a lot tickets and they are released for a variety of reasons. TICKETBASTARD themselves always gives out this same information. It's not the result of some far flung conspiracy as TICKETBASTRD, the artist, and the promoters want to sell as many tickets as quickly as possible. They want to make as much money as they can. It just a common business practice to set aside tickets for promotion, corporations, people who are connected. Sometimes these tickets become available to the public.

As the STONES have specially constructed stages, it could well be some seats become available as showtime approaches. Hope this happens. It will allow more fans of the STONES to see them and could cut into the scalper's business.

The bottom line is the revenue ticket sales generate and, in most shows, ticket sales have gone well. There will be a lot of revenue on this tour with or without neo con. Most of these shows will be at 100% capacity when the STONES come to town.

Maxy is right

Insulting 51% of your audience in the US is not smart

Dumb. Really dumb

Moonie would call it retarded

The Stones will care very soon

Those $450 tickets aren't bought by the granola eating Birkenstock wearing types

Are you boycotting the non-sold out UC show?
August 9th, 2005 04:06 PM

If those things start to unravel, Mick's pocketbook will care!

true, the people who like neocon or thee a hidden message for a anti bush statement haven't got enough money to see the stones, hahaha.
I don't mind if the song is pro bush or not. The stones aren't like U2 lyricwise, and I don't want them to be either

The Wick JB, this album might seem a bust- judging from Streets of Shite, but why the tour? Everyone said the same thing before Voodoo Lounge and that was the greatest success. I think this one will top Forty Licks which had no new blood on it. And hopefully, no Dustbin Timberfake.
