Your Post is the following :

Soothing, Elegant, Sophisticated, Cerebral, Stylish, Intimate, Theatrical, Restrained, Sensual, Poignant, Passionate, Freewheeling, Romantic, Reflective, Lush, Smooth

What ?!?! Oh , sure :

" Certainly, the lush, elegant soundscapes of Avalon are far removed from the edgy avant-pop of their early records, yet it represents another landmark in their career. With its stylish, romantic washes of synthesizers and Ferry's elegant, seductive croon, Avalon simultaneously functioned as sophisticated make-out music for yuppies and as the maturation of synth-pop. Ferry was never this romantic or seductive, either with Roxy or as a solo artist, and Avalon shimmers with elegance in both its music and its lyrics. "More Than This," "Take a Chance With Me," "While My Heart is Still Beating" and the title track are immaculately crafted and subtle songs, where the shifting synthesizers and murmured vocals gradually reveal the melodies. It's a rich, textured album and a graceful way to end the band's career. "

sirmoonie We should have a combined drinking and F U thread. The two go together like frick and frack.
May 1st, 2004 08:44 AM
nankerphelge Maybe we could plan a special Saturday night FU edition of the drinking thread. Everyone can get their FU lists together today, and then tonite, at the appointed time -- the witching hour -- we can all have our favorite adult beverages at the ready and just let the cussin' commence!!

I think it is a great idea.
I hope I have contributed in some way, however small!
It's the least I can do.
(Never let it be said I didn't do the least I could do!)

Oh man I'm ready. Do we have to change names to "protect the innocent?"

I've got someone in mind who deserves a big FU!!!

LJ.

Nanky...I went to RT's last night and they didn't have Newcastles!!! WTF???
