But what a change from the 1st night in SF, even a different opener.
Our band could have learned something.....or maybe they couldn't. |

The man was as cool as cool gets. Typical shit Sacramento crowd, but Bob and his band were tight. Much better show than the last one I saw from him. The new numbers were fantastic. "When the Deal Goes Down" was a highlight, as was "Tangled up in Blue" and "High Water."
His voice is moving... a real thrill to watch him. Thanks Bob.
Only dissapointment - no "Working Man's Blues #2" |

Beauty indeed, it's just like the music.....Bob's music (to me) is the sound of beauty!
Peace out!

High Water is my favorite. One of the best Bob songs ever. Great to see it in the set. |

Yes they've done 4 different opening songs during the last 100 shows. Which is a surprise. No doubt that Dylan takes a lot more risks though, and he usually succeeds too. |

OK I'm wrong about the number of opening songs I see, yet that's not the main point. I've even forgot the main point by now. |

Thanks for the welcome!
But you know, the first post, up there, wasn't about what it turned into.
Dylan do take big chances setlist-wise, compared to many artists, incl. the Stones. And things have been standing still for a while, setlist-wise, before they came over to USA. |

Yes, we all complain about that. I do think they've been listening & that's why each of the shows where they've played before, they're doing new/rarely done songs. They'll never be like Dylan but I also like 'em tons better. I might go to Dylan on 11-13. Still deciding. |

Seeing Bob in November? I hope you'll go. I missed him this year, because of those Bigger Bang concerts. Hope I'll get to see him next year...in Europe. |

Actually an esteemed member of Shidoobee (and RO I think) gave Sacramento such a scathing review that it made me want to witness the show for myself. The Forum is looking tempting but its such a pain in the ass getting home from there. We will see how I feel tomorrow, I might do it. |
