I just read the Newsweek review of the new Twyla Tharp rendition of Bob's songs & it's decidedly mixed. I read it in the actual magazine & I must say it's intriguing enough that I might go to see it in the near future. |

Yes! Didn't think anyone would get that...
Well, I got tickets for the City Center show, but they were only selling singles, so I got my friend's first (a nice orchestra seat, but hey, he's paying, so...) and then I tried for mine. I scored a nice seat in the front mezzanine right in the center, but after I gave them the credit card info it said my time ran out - which was pretty strange, considering it took less time to do that than the first one, but whaddaya gonna do. So I tried again and it looked like I was gonna get shut out completely, when all of a sudden a middle mezzanine seat popped up and I grabbed it. It's not the best seat in the house by a longshot, but I don't mind...I'm happy just to be going.
Gotta love that Bob!

Capacity is just over 2700. Not a bad seat in the place...
Congrats on your ticket(s)! |

Looks like Meg got a good 'un - nice setlist.
Equal combination of old and new (pretty much half of the show coming from the last decade), plus his greatest ever song making an always welcome appearance at the halfway point |

LOL...fingers crossed for Hattie Carroll, now. With my luck, though, he'll play it in Ottawa on Sunday before I see him again in Toronto on Tuesday. |

Lazy you'll be happy once you are there seeing and hearing Bob...even if he does play "Wiggle Wiggle" (which is totally autobiographical) LOL....good one Gary!
I'm still waiting to get Sugar Baby...and keep missing it too.
Someday baby........
Meg I was thinking of you all evening. Hope you had a blast!
peace out,
Martha

OK..Home..I have no complaints. You saw the setlist..
The venue was in the middle of nowhere and it took us 2 hours to get there from Ann Arbor with traffic and snow.
Foo Fighters were just"OK"-never really liked them to begin with. Grohl's incessant head bobbing will drive ya nuts!!
Bob and his band were great. Gotta say the highlights for me were Spirit on the Water, Nettie Moore, and Positively 4th Street. Nettie Moore was the only song in which Bob actually enunciated his lyrics so all could understand and it was beautifully done(brought tears to the eyes!). I went nuts when I realized they were playing Johanna, but to be truthful...I did not like this version.
Stuck inside a Mobile and Senor are always appreciated by me, as well as a great version of Tangled Up in Blue. A great night of Bob.........
Like I said....No Complaints
Hope you get a good one too. Mr. Bones!!!

Well "drasticly" maybe isn't the appropriate term, Eric. But the tempo was too fast and the lyrics were really muddled, which is something this song does not deserve. Still a great song and glad I got to sing along with him |
