All right, my dear Alex, it is now your birthday! And I know you are a young thing---young enough to be my daughter! {But maybe people would think we were sisters? lol } So, how old are you today???

Happy birthday!

Sioux, sorry to tell you that the birhday of our beloved friend Alex is on Saturday 19th.

Thanks my dear Lisa!!!! First I thought the same, it must have been in Morocco...Jajouka mountains or so...but I became to wonder about the landscape in the pic...it reminds me not that much of a desert, which is with Morocco the case, cause it´s very near to "Sahara

Hey, liebe, I was reading over on IORR about this pic and it had a link to recordmecca.com in which the person says it was Ethiopia. The folks at IORR thought India or Sri Lanka. I could've sworn Christies said they were from Morocco, but I guess the elephants don't make as much sense if that's true. I don't recall Brian going to Ethiopia or India, but he did go to Sri Lanka. Pity we don't really know how he spent a lot of his time on these trips since the stories are usually about the negative! Just thought you'd like the information, Lisa
18th January 2008 05:34 PM
BriansBabe Many thanks for the info, dear Lisa! Yes, our Brian was in Sri Lanka and it looks like that...I do not know why we haven´t see this right from the start,lol...it´s obvious, no?
Well, I do also not know what´s the matter with me this days, but I didn´t find that link on IORR ...can you posting the link here maybe??? For all the people without Brain, like me, lol, no, I mean Brian...and??? Which day is it???? Friday or what??

...yes, Lisa, your right, it´s really pity, that always the problematic sites of our dear Brian reported!!!

zooeyglass You doubted the Moroccan connection where I did not -- and I found the link where you did not.

Together we make a pretty smart person, Alex!

GhostofBrianJones Wish scientists could clone people sometimes, then maybe
we could clone a whole group of Brians!!? Just steal a
tissue sample from somewhere and duplicate his HOT self!
After that I would put in a request to have my body duplicated
at the age of 22 so I would not be disabled anymore. I am
just being silly.

LOVE TO S&K!!!
19th January 2008 01:23 AM
Sioux Well, I've got some DNA. Let the cloning begin....

Water Dragon Happy Birthday, BeBe (aka Alex)

Edna St. Vincent Millay (1892–1950)
Renascence and Other Poems. 1917

Tavern

I’LL keep a little tavern
Below the high hill’s crest,
Wherein all grey-eyed people
May set them down and rest.

There shall be plates a-plenty,
And mugs to melt the chill
Of all the grey-eyed people
Who happen up the hill.

There sound will sleep the traveller,
And dream his journey’s end,
But I will rouse at midnight
The failing fire to tend.

Aye, ’tis a curious fancy—
But all the good I know
Was taught me out of two grey eyes
A long time ago.

Dear Alex aka BeBe - You are entirely welcome to what joy you can find, especially if you are sensitive. I hope this comes through for you...Best of Luck in your new year!

there are thistles in the pasture!

The Dream

Dear love, for nothing less than thee
Would I have broke this happy dream;
It was a theme
For reason, much too strong for phantasy:
Therefore thou waked'st me wisely; yet
My dream thou brok'st not, but continued'st it.
Thou art so truth that thoughts of thee suffice
To make dreams truths, and fables histories.
Enter these arms, for since thou thought'st it best
Not to dream all my dream, let's act the rest.

As lightning or a taper's light,
Thine eyes, and not thy noise, waked me;
Yet I thought thee
(For thou lov'st truth) an angel at first sight;
But when I saw thou saw'st my heart,
And knew'st my thoughts, beyond an angels art,
When thou knew'st what I dreamt, when thou knew'st when
Excess of joy would wake me, and cam'st then,
I must confess it could not choose but be
Prophane to think thee anything but thee.

Comming and staying showed thee thee,
But rising makes me doubt, that now
Thou art not thou.
That Love is weak, where fear's as strong as he;
'Tis not all spirit pure and brave
If mixture it of Fear, Shame, Honour, have.
Perchance as torches, which must ready be,
Men light and put out, so thou deal'st with me,
Thou cam'st to kindle, go'st to come; Then I
Will dream that hope again, but else would die.

John Donne
