Voodoo Scrounge I personly think this song should have been a single from a bigger bang. Its as typical stones as you can get.
December 13th, 2005 05:10 AM
RollingstonesUSA Agreed!!!! Cant figure out y they did streets of love and rain fall down as singles, both good songs, but u think they would have did a rocker, like oh no, not you again or she saw me coming or look what the cat dragged in....
December 13th, 2005 06:38 AM
Bruno Stone Dangerous Beauty should have been the first single.
December 13th, 2005 07:27 AM
speedfreakjive I hate to be conceited, but from the off I said DB and SSMC were the best songs on ABB.
December 13th, 2005 07:50 AM
Ten Thousand Motels Yeah, panning through ABB leaves you with a couple good nuggetts, SSMC is one of 'em for sure.
December 13th, 2005 07:57 AM
Jumacfly this record misses guitar parts on :
RFD,neocon, and a killer solo on Laugh..
December 13th, 2005 08:19 AM
Maxlugar This is the best song off the albumn and one of maybe three that stays with you.

Most of this album is forgotten the second you are done with it. It's like cotton candy. It's there but it's not there.

I've never felt that way about new Stones album...

nankerphelge Howe about She Heard Me Coming:

THEY were jetting off for a holiday in Kingston, Jamaica, and the drinks flowed freely during the ten-hour flight.

Intoxicated, the couple, who were seated in business class, decided to submit their membership for the 'mile-high club' in one of the toilets.

But the British Airways flight staff became suspicious after hearing cries of passion from the loo, and the randy couple was ordered to stop and return to their seats.

Randy quickly turned into angry.

Stunned passengers watched in horror as the couple fought with flight staff.

A passenger told The Sun: 'They were asked politely to return to their seats but went ballistic. They were shouting vile abuse and spitting at staff.'

Another said: 'The captain tried to calm them down but they were just as abusive to him.'

And despite being restrained with plastic handcuffs, the pilot decided he had no choice but to divert the 777 jet to Bermuda.

The couple, who were booked on a two-week holiday, were held by police in Bermuda and put on a flight back to Gatwick yesterday.

Now the duo, from Luton, Beds, have been arrested and face being charged with air rage. They may also have to bear the 20,000 ($58,950) cost of diverting the plane.

Whats dull, have u ever heard a Stones song like it?
December 13th, 2005 01:02 PM
glencar It's one riff over & over again & it's not particularly inspired. I'll take RJ, IWTL, BOMH, ONNYA, DB &Look What The Cat Dragged In over it every single time.
December 13th, 2005 01:38 PM
speedfreakjive but its orginal, unlike RJ, which is a rehash of YGMR

Actaully Dangerous Beauty is a rehash of of YGMR. RJ is a rehash of Mixed Emotion and Brown Sugar. They are still much better than Streets of Love which is a rehash of Frankie Vallie and Mick's solo stuff which is really pretty aweful.
December 13th, 2005 01:58 PM
texile like max said, she saw me coming stays with you -
along with onnya and db.....the only 3 songs that do it for me.

I always skip SSMC and DB (which sounds like a weak Dirty WOrk outtake...worst lyrics since SParks will Fly)

I always skip my favorite artist's new albums ( see : MACCA , Steely Dan , The Stones , The WHO , Keith John Moon , ss ............................ ! )

Sir Stonesalot >but its orginal<

Big deal. I just took a dump. Those turds were original...but they were still turds.

SSMC is one of the dorkiest songs I've heard the Stones release in a very long time. I can just picture Boy George skipping merrily down the street to the cadence of this song. And how dorky are these lyrics? It's off the scale of the Dorkometer!

She saw me coming
I was a stupid jerk
SSMC
She was a piece of work
She must have tapped my phone
SSMC
I felt like I was cloned
SSMC
She had me on the ropes
SSMC
Took me for a dope
SSMC

WTF? Gee how witty and clever. For a 9th grader. I wonder how many days it took to refine those lyrics. And if this is what they refined it down to...just imagine how ridiculous the lyrics that didn't make the cut must have been. Yikes!

And what about that dorky riff? It's like blibity-blibity-BLAH-BLAH. It so annoying. It sounds like one of those crappy songs that one of those crappy bands play at one of those crappy fundraiser parties to save the old moviehouse on one of those crappy 80's B movies that starred Bobcat Golthwait or Steve Guttenberg. You know, and then Guttenberg and Molly Ringwald dance like white people, and the nerdy girl asks Bobcat to dance and everyone goes "Aaaaawwwwwww". THAT is what this song reminds me of.

It's just a dumb song on an even dumber album.
