I think MSG had way more!

Bitch Cool, I can't wait to meet all of you. Is everyone going to the AC Bar & Grill for the Shidoobee pre-party? We can have a party-within-a-party there, or we might want to have pre-pre-party! LOL! ROCKS OFF with the Rocks-off-er's, in AC.

FrankiePeppers I vote again for the Irish Pub on St. James and the Boardwalk, Cheap, good food & cheap beer. A 3/4 mile walk to Boardwalk Hall.

http://www.theirishpub.com/html.htm

The Irish Pub -
Atlantic City:
164 St. James Place
at The Boardwalk,
Atlantic City, NJ 08401
(609) 344-9063

The Irish Pub in Atlantic City has been raved about by almost everyone who has ever stepped in the door. Called by some major magazines, "America's Greatest Watering Hole," the pub is one place you don't want to miss when in Atlantic City. Convenient to the Boardwalk, beach and casinos, The Irish Pub in Atlantic City also features a beautiful Victorian Inn with rooms starting at $20 per night.

Recently voted "Best Cheap Eats" by Atlantic City Magazine, we offer great lunch and dinner specials plus a large selection of beer including Harp, Bass, Killian's, Murphy's and Yuengling on draft.

Are you a stock holder?!? LOL!!

FrankiePeppers Just a loyal patron the text is from the website. A trip to AC is never complete for me until I go to the pub. Many great, hazy memories in there.
21st October 2006 05:36 PM
pdog Irish Pub is okay...
I'm not doing The Shidoobee event. To planned and formal.
We can wing it big time. Traveling around AC is quick and easy, and there's more fun it stumbling into a place randomnly, then stumbling out of one on purpose!
21st October 2006 06:10 PM
Bitch pdog the Shidoobee party IS well planned but that does NOT mean formal, the Shidoobees's are super tolerant with everything except rip-offs. For the most part, a Stones-loving crowd. Nbd. If you are too random how will I meet you for the hotel tour? You cant be random 100%, lol, I want to go meet Darryl or Chuck or Lisa or see MICK or KEEF, I've been unsuccessful in Philly, NY, London etc so far I have not been in the right hotel at the right time. This could be my chance Pdog, if you know where PLEASE take me there! I'll buy gas. We could hang out and pretend we're not stalkers. IMO PM's welcome!

FOR everyone:PACKING TIP: Wind-breakers and Hair-spray!

Kilroy Shidoobee party Who, what, where, and when?
22nd October 2006 12:50 PM
LadyJane I shall definitely be attending the Shidoobee preparty.

I hope to get there early as it's a HUGE gathering.

I have many friends on that Board and I want to see them. Stonesdoug's first Stones show was AC in 1966 (I believe). This will be a special show for him and he is a great guy.

Like Pdog said we can hit and run many bars.

I DO have a suggestion. Let's pick a place to meet after the show...ONE place to have a massive RO gathering. We can disperse as we like. But we need to have group pictures and most importantly a group TOAST to the BEST MESSAGE BOARD ON THE NET!!!!

Perhaps one of the bars in Bally's as many of us are staying there.

LJ.

SweetVirginia LJ, in all your spare time Friday (LOL), see if you can find the Mountain Bar at Bally's. It sounds like it could be a good place for after the show (90-foot bar, open 24 hours...). Maybe you could scope it out for us. Not sure what to make of the little trains running around the bar.

Here's the description from Bally's website:

"Whatever your pleasure, the 90-foot-long Mountain Bar is your watering hole to cool off and play the bar-top slot machines. If you get hungry, snacks from the Lone Star Snackbar are served. A beautiful mountain scene behind the bar allows guests to watch one of the many motorized trains that circle the seating area.

Open 24 hours, daily."

LadyJane Relaying this message to RO'ers from Stonesdoug:

"Hey when the AC bar starts getting too crowded, they are only going to let SHIDOOBEEs in so make sure to let the ROers know they should say they are part of the SHIDOOBEE party----see ya Friday"

I will have a rallying point, for us all to meet that will be close and easy!
The good thing about AC, when you leave the show, you only go left or right on the boardwalk, so it's harder to get lost!

Bless you!!!!!!!!!

The Chiba trio may need to head back to Bally's for "freshening up". Please bear that in mind.

Plus I need to get the sheep!!!!!!!!!!

Bitch The Mountain bar in Ballys is not a good idea, its wide open in the casino and the drinks are $8, as they are in all the casinos. A better choice would be a non-Casino bar such as the Irish Pub mentioned in this thread. The only problem with that is we'll need to catch a ride there.
22nd October 2006 07:22 PM
Stonesdoug Hope you can all stop by the AC Bar and Grill---cheap drinks---good food and all Stones music--

Mixed Drinks Run $4.00 (no name) and $5.00 (named)
Imported Beer $4.00
Domestic Beer $3.00
Vodka and OJ $4.00
Coor Light Draft $2.00
and it's open until 6AM

Oh and the Stones are not staying in Atlantic City---They're doing a rehearsal with Scorcese at the Beacon the night before and will be coming into AC on Friday and returning to NYC right aftrer the show.

GotToRollMe Thanks for the invitation, Doug! Shidoobee parties rock!
LJ, I'm going down there on Thursday and will do recon for a good place to meet post-show.
I can't believe I may actually get to use the line,
"Let's gather the sheep and get the flock outta here!"
