Rome is my favorite city. My Dad served in Morocco in the 1950's. Says it was the hottest place he's ever been. The Baseball HOF used to have an exhibit of US troops playing baseball in teh 50's in Morocco but I don't think it's still there.

I went in the Spring before it got too hot. I had a horrible experience on the train there traveling in the middle of the day (Heat and insane crowding). Made me wish I was in rush hour on the LIRR!

Doing fine. Very busy with the new house.

glencar My worst LIRR experience was when I flew out of ISP but flew back into LGA since the flight was earlier. A cabby who was evidently from Pakistan dropped me off at the Jamaica subway station & when I realized my error, I trudged up to the LIRR station. About 5 blocks in June during a heatwave & I'm wearing a suit. So the train to ISP area had about 6 breakdowns & the car I was in had about 100 bratty 9 yr old girls who were singing some kind of summer camp song. The LIRR is just about the worst train I've ever been on. Ever.

You are correct Sir ( ....only please substitute asparagus for the spinach -- and the filet had better be grilled )

If you take Beano after the first bite of anything gassy, it really helps lessen the flatulence...it really works.
6th April 2007 02:25 PM
glencar Asparagus doesn't give you gas. It makes you pee. Plus the urine smells pungent.
