Gregory Peck- To Kill A Mockingbird. Good Performance but O'Toole's performance in Lawrence of Arabia was one for the ages.

Personally, I was glad to hear about The Departed. Thought it was a very good to ,at times, even great film though admittedly nowhere near the class of such movie greats as Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas. It was my belief going in they would do the usual & give it (The Best Picture) to the usual suspects- meaning something like Babel or Little Miss Sunshine.

I saw all the nominated films &, when compared to movies like Little Miss Sunshine (funny but highly overrated as it was never very realistic), Babel (extremely overrated, we were very disappointed in this film thinking it would be much better than it turned out to be; thought Pans Labryith was 100 times better than this bore), Letters From Iwo Jima (always been a sucker for historical epics- I liked it), and The Queen (nice picture, very enjoyable), to me The Departed was much better than the above mentioned pictures. The class of the field by far when compared to the other four at least imo

Not to my knowledge............Victoria Principal has kept in the public eye over the years with a line of skin care products commonly sold on HSN/QVC. She remains a remarkably attractive woman in her 50's and has managed to avoid the tabloids which, during her Andy Gibbs period, were all consuming.

Exposing children to bad taste at an early age is a good thing?

When I was a kid my Grandfather tried to ban Elvis Presley in the home. Prick.

GREAT FILM! It has been some time since I've seen it but I remember Warren Zevon's Lawyers, Guns and Money plays when the one character gets himself lost in south central LA after a Lakers game. Excellent use of a song!

LadyJane I have heard NOTHING about Eddie Murphy since his defeat.
No pics at him at any post show parties.
No post show interviews.

I thought HE was going to perform in the "Dreamgirls" sequence.

Wonder if he stormed outta there???

I wonder when Scary Spice is going to deliver that kid that Eddie allegedly fathered.

He should have impregnated Posh Spice.

A fake deity land grant is a poor justification for robbing land. In fact it is logically indistinguishable from the rationalizations used by Hitler and others when coveting lebensraum. You might wish to rephrase that bit of racism.

lotsajizz ah, so we agree that in both cases it was stolen? in which case, right of conquest becomes the justification (and a good one) rather than 'God given grants'--which is bullshit.....
