Hey, Martha My Dear! Did you see your boy Kush when VR was out on the west coast? I saw a video he was in when he was in Wasted Youth (I think that was the one) and he had hair just like Slash (I remember him saying they went to school together -- did Lenny Kravitz go their, too?). Anyways, hope your moving adventure isn't too stressful on you. Keep up the good work, and might I add that you are a great poster! Yes!!!

Yes, he had a show and was taken off the air for some controversial remarks he made(like msnbc didn't know what they were getting). I think he was replaced with Joey Scarborough.....Savage may be over the top, but he speaks the truth when it comes to our war on terror and Islamic fundamnetalists,,they will kill us unless we kill them first.

I've heard Savage Nation, the radio show, and I like it, he's really good. Makes some excellent points, and yeah he's pretty funny sometimes. I'd listen to it more, but I don't get it in my area.

Never cared for Phil Hendry's schtick, I switch stations if he comes on.

There's this one talk radio guy I sorta like named Glenn Beck. He's kinda uptight, but can be hilarious.

FU....uh, FU to anyone that needs to be FU'd!
HI, SNAPPY!!!
What a nice thing to say (about being a great poster,
etc.)!!! That put me in a GREAT mood and I did need
that so thank you SO MUCH!!! I actually start moving
tonight after work (actually, I'm just putting alot of things in my car,
etc., to start moving tomorrow after work but it's all moving, etc.)...
I'm just happy to move so it won't be bad as i am
really looking forward to the change, etc.!!! I think I
very much need it!!! lol........... :P lol... Anyways, well, I
didn't see Dave when they played out here but I'll probably catch
them at some point... Even though I know Dave, I'm kind of
annoyed that, well, they don't have Axl singing!!! lol.......... To me, it
just seems like GNR without Axl (Izzy Stradlin left a long time ago
so he doesn't count... lol...... :P It's too bad 'cause he was
great, also!!!) and i saw a pic. of The Stone Temple Pilots' lead
singer in the L.A. Times not too long ago and he TOTALLY looked
like an Axl WANNABE!!! Actually, an EARLY Axl wannabe!!!
ROTFLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was dressed like Axl used to dress RIGHT
when Appetite took off, etc., and they were still playing smaller
venues, etc. (but they were just at the end of doing that), and he
was wearing a hat just like Axl used to wear and even had the
EXACT same facial expression as Axl... I'm just not interested if it's
going to be an Axl imitation show!!! Dave is nice and everything
but I liked Axl!!! lol.......... I thought he was a GREAT entertainer with
the GREATEST energy and voice, etc., and I don't care about his
short-comings, or what-have-you, as a person, etc. ('cause we ALL
have them and that is the TRUTH) and I don't care if he had plastic
surgery, etc.!!! as some guy on the E! Channel said in a show on
plastic surgery, "We don't care WHAT you look like!!! Just come
back and ROCK!!!"!!! lol.... LOL!!!!!!!!!!! And, I totally agree with that!!!
Besides... I don't think he looks that different, IMHO, and I could
actually care less what he looks like... The guy has talent and it
needs to be seen so come back, Axl!!! I don't have that pic. from the
Times now but anyways... And, yep, that's Dave from Wasted
Youth, etc.!!! And, you're right... I think he did go to school with
Slash and I am almost positive that's the same school as Lenny
Kravitz went to (Fairfax High School on Melrose Ave. and Fairfax
Ave. in L.A. where Flea and alot of other famous people went,
also)... I think he's been friends with Slash for a long time, if I
remember correctly (?!?!?!)... Slash defines SASSY!!!
LAUGHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, I had to say something like that...
lol................. That guy will never not look hot... lol. HE!!! HE!!! HE!!!
Ok.!!! lol..........

Anyways, take care and stay nice, ok., Snappy, and ROCK ON!!!
And, your posts ROCK, also!!! lol.......
PEACE!!!

MarthaMyDear You had to open your mouth, didn't you, Snappy??? ROTFLOL!!!!!!!!!!! HE!!! HE!!! HE!!! LAUGHING!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol... :P lol. STAY COOL and NICE and ROCK ON!!! PEACE!!!

*** Martha ***

P.S. (If I see Dave, I'm going to ask him if they tried to get Axl!!! I like
Dave, etc., but I guess I just miss seeing GNR 'cause I loved that
band!!! Sorry to Dave for being so blunt, etc., but , well, he
knows how much I loved GNR!!! lol............. I wouldn't shut-up about
them when we worked together!!! lol.. Anyways,
ROCK ON!!! PEACE!!! )

jb The fan club offers a variety of packages for every price range. My understanding was that for the last tour, thousands of fans were given ticket priority by signing up with the fan club. Moreover, the opportunity to have excluvise access to club shows, behind the scenes footage, and breaking news makes the $100 fee a bargain for hardcore fans. I want to thank Michael and Jake Cohl for thinking of the fans first in this particular instance. I paid substantially more from ticket brokers and did not receive any of the benefits members of the fan club were afforded.

" The tissue box is empty
No coffee for my cream
Dogs howl in the alley
Crazy women scream
Some kids shout from there pick up truck
There stoned on life and beer
Fifty radios playing in this street
But I'm still hardly here

Exquisitely bored in California
We take our trouble to the Crest
Exquisitely bored in California
Exquisitely bored, Just like all the rest

When the sun shines things'll get moving,
You feel close to the stars.
There are good times walking in Laguna,
But it rains in my heart

The peasants here are starving
They look out there barrels out in space
Pray TV looks like pay TV to me
It's just a curse on the human race
I take a drive up to L.A.
In my gas guzzling limousine
There's a whole lot of crazy people up there
Living out a life in sweet ennui

Exquisitely bored in California
We take our trouble to the Crest
Exquisitely bored in California
Exquisitely bored, Just like all the rest

When the sun shines things'll get moving,
You feel close to the stars.
There are good times walking in Laguna,

Exquisitely bored in California
Exquisitely bored, Just like all the rest ........... "

I don't know for sure MMD, but I can tell you the following:
..Bono , Macca, Don Henley, Chuck D., Alanis Morrisette, Morissey, Jackson Browne, Sting, Beastie Boys, Bon Jovi, Rage against the machine, Midnight Oil, and Bowie are examples of groups/ people who make complete asses of themselves by talking about issues they have no business talking about.

I would like to nuzzle you .

W- W- W- W- W- What ?!?! .............Oh , sure :

"A love born once must soon be born again
A spark that burned, then died, leaving cinders to be fanned
By the wind and thrown flame
Flames like tongues impassioned in a moments burst.
Tell me my friend- why do you stand aloof from your own heart
The truth confronts you-the truth confronts you as the sea
Crushing with out detail
Impassioned and detached,
Killing with love and power in God's name.
People stop hurting people, People stop hurting people ...................."

yes. Although apparently this time the purchase of a concert ticket DOESNT automatically make you a fan club member.

> and that the next tour is DEFINITELY ON?!?!?!

no. Its "if" they announce a tour.

The fan club membership is for one year, ie to June 2005. Maybe they plan to have a US tour over by then (as well as some other places theyre supposed to play next spring like Japan or South America) so they can sell priority tickets for it. If not, youre not going to get much for $100!

I heard it on the radio early this morning, Gazza. jb was correct, but for some reason, I tried to find it on Google but no luck -- but then:

Marlon Brando, Star of `The Godfather,' `Waterfront,' Dies
July 2 (Bloomberg) -- Marlon Brando, called by many the greatest actor of all time and best known for his roles in ``On the Waterfront'' and ``The Godfather,'' has died. He was 80.

Brando died yesterday in Los Angeles, KPHO-TV reported. The cause of death wasn't immediately known. KPHO-TV is a CBS affiliate in Phoenix.

Brando earned best actor Oscars for his performances as the ex-fighter in ``On The Waterfront'' (1954) and as mafia boss Don Vito Corleone in ``The Godfather'' (1972). Brando refused the second Oscar in protest of the federal government's treatment of American Indians.

He sent Sacheen Littlefeather to the awards ceremony to give his refusal speech, and she was booed off the stage.

He was born in Nebraska in 1924 and made his Broadway debut in ``I Remember Mama.'' Brando's big break came in his role as Stanley Kowalski in Tennessee Williams's ``A Streetcar Named Desire'' in 1947. He also starred in the film version in 1951.
