jb Mick is a pussy...can you beleieve they are censoring themselves?
July 7th, 2005 03:37 PM
glencar I feel much better now!
July 7th, 2005 03:48 PM
ListenToTheLion With all the buzz about what's on the new album, the one tune that may be the most provocative and political is NOT going to appear on it. Mick wrote a song bashing Condelizza Rice but decided to leave it off because the lyrics are definitely controversial!

Maybe Mick should talk with Steve Earle

This leads me to beleieve this album will suck, big time. Nothing daring, unique, or distinguishing...see their other albums for the last 20 plus years...

agreed

(btw this song by Steve would suits Mick better)

Condi, Condi

Oh Condi Condi beggin’ on my knees
Open up your heart and let me in wontcha please
Got no money but everybody knows
I love you Condi and I’ll never let you go
Sweet and dandy pretty as can be
You be the flower and I’ll be the bumble bee
Oh she loves me oops she loves me not
People say you’re cold but I think you’re hot

Oh, Condi, Condi
Oh, Condi, Condi

Oh Condi, Condi I’m talkin’ to you girl
What’s it gonna hurt come on give me a whirl
Shake your body now let me see you go
One time for me Oh Condi I love you so
Skank for me Condi show me what you got
They say you’re too uptight I say you’re not
Dance around me spinnin’ like a top
Oh Condi Condi Condi don’t ever stop

Oh Condi Condi Can’t you hear me call
I’m standin’ in the street outside your garden wall
Pocketful of money belly full of wine
Condi in my heart and romance on my mind
Listen to me Condi don’t be afraid
I come here tonight to chase your blues away
I’ll never hurt you I’ll treat you right
Oh Condaleeza won’t you come out tonight

Pretty little Condi precious as can be
Bet you never had another lover like me

Who bothers talking to him? You lefties might think Highwire was a highwater mark for the Stones but let's face it: NO ONE CARED. The war went on & the song had little impact & wasn't even that good.

HIGHWIRE IS GREAT!

We sell 'em missiles, We sell 'em tanks
We give 'em credit, You can call the bank
It's just a business, You can pay us in
crude
You love these toys, just go play out your
feuds
Got no pride, don't know whose boots to
lick
We act so greedy, makes me sick sick
sick
So get up, stand up, out of my way
I want to talk to the boss right away
Get up, stand up, whose gonna pay
I want to talk to the man right away
We walk the highwire
Sending the men up to the front line
Hoping they don't catch the hell fire
With hot guns and cold, cold nights
We walk the highwire
Sending the men up to the front line
And tell 'em to hotbed the sunshine
With hot guns and cold, cold nights
Our lives are threatened, our jobs at risk
Sometimes dictators need a slap on the
wrist
Another Munich we just can't afford
We're gonna send in the eighty-second
airborne
Get up, stand up, who's gonna pay
I wanna talk to the boss right away
Get up, stand up, outta my way
I wanna talk to the man right away
We walk the highwire
Putting the world out on a deadline
And hoping they don't catch the shellfire
With hot guns and cold, cold nights
We walk the highwire
Putting the world out on a deadline
Catching the bite on primetime
With hot guns and cold, cold nights
Get up! Stand up!
Dealer! Stealer!
Hey!
We walk the highwire
We send all our men into the front lines
We're hoping that we backed the right side
With hot guns and cold, cold nights
We walk the highwire
We send all the men up to the front lines
And hoping they don't catch the hellfire
With hot guns and cold cold, cold, cold,
cold nights
We walk the highwire
We walk the highwire
With hot guns and cold, cold, cold nights
With hot guns and cold, cold nights

BILL PERKS SHARKS WILL CRY
July 7th, 2005 04:34 PM

It's better than Sex Drive anyway!!!!!
July 7th, 2005 04:41 PM
gimmekeef We are all so desperate we're talkin about a song no one knows for sure even exists....Lets hope the real album surfaces sooner than later...
July 7th, 2005 04:41 PM
glencar Oh contraire, mon frere! Sex Drive has a nice groove & one of their hottest videos. Highwire has an okay groove & dull sophomore-level politics.

Then we certainly do have different tastes, mind you we are all tasting the same thing aren't we? The succulent voice of Jagger and those spicy chords of the guitar and that kick afterwards from Charlie's snare drum.

Nellcote Sex Drive.
Stones homage to James Brown
It just "flows".........
Neocon, so what?
Remember Claudine?
Poor, poor Claudine
Accidents will happen...
Claudine's back in jail again...
The 7:03 version is....
drum roll please...
Remember this GC when you come to Bahston....
WICKED PISSA!!!!
July 7th, 2005 04:55 PM
glencar Nelly, I'm thinking of going to Vegas in Nov. At this point, spacing out teh concerts is very important. Last time I saw the same show 3 times within one week & I won't do that again.
July 7th, 2005 04:58 PM
Nellcote I was relucant towards that thought, however, during Licks, we got several songs the 2nd night after the openah.
Then, I got caught up in the Friday night Hartford gig circus, so I said, WTF, might as well go for the 1st three.
Raw Stones, Stones that are still getting their chops..
Althought the Olympic Garden is a good draw to go to Lost Wages...

texile that really does suck - i agree lion - this was the ONE song that i was intrigued by, the ONE song that might have made them relevant and, as you said, provocatve....
i'm very dissapointed in that wimp-ass jagger - very distressed. he's hanging around too many aristocratic fuckwits, blair-ites all of them.....
