zooeyglass Good news -- just booked my hotel for Cheltenham

Just 84 days to go!
6th April 2008 12:49 PM
BriansBabe Ohhhh, how exciting liebe!!!! How many days will you stay there??? Have you booked already the flight to Germany??
If not, I can help you a bit with it, cause there are many differences in price...will write you all in the PM then...

6th April 2008 01:07 PM
zooeyglass Sadly just a day -- but I think that will be long enough to absorb the Cheltenham vibes and do a pub crawl of Brian's old drinking haunts.

6th April 2008 01:21 PM
BriansBabe Btw, Iīve nearly forgot to say, was in " Shine a Light" yesterday ...hereīs my review: Outstanding

...although I missed Brian...there are only some seconds about him ...

...but at least I believe Brian would have loved the film!!!

LoveChild Steve,

You have quite a few ladies to service here. You can't be leaving anyone out...

Good one, Lisa!

Sioux Wonderful pix, Lisa, and I am SUPREMELY jealous that you will be in Cheltenham without me.... So, now you must have double/triple/quadruple fun there for all of us! I will have to get your address and maybe send something for you to put on Brian's grave for me...?
6th April 2008 04:28 PM
GhostofBrianJones That was outstanding inserting Steve's name on that video,
very good, I love that!!

I think that swimming pool is way too much. I wonder if
they get enough people to use it to pay for the cost of
upkeep? I guess the rich and famous must use it a lot?
It definitely does look like an ocean, that is what I kinda
thought it was when I saw the first picture. I wonder how
deep it goes? It states the water is so clear one can see
the bottom anywhere you are in it. Ever since I saw that
movie "Titanic"a few years ago, I am not too fond of swimming,
or going near bodies of water anymore. YEEKS!!!
6th April 2008 04:32 PM
Sioux And I'm not a swimmer and swimming pools just make me think of Brian....and NOT in a good way...
6th April 2008 04:49 PM
GhostofBrianJones Please take as many pictures of Cheltenham as you can if you
have time. I wonder if Brian's parents still live there?
Their house is/was on Hathaway or something like that, I have
pictures of it. If I had the money and I was in better shape
I would be over there too. Until then I will be seeing it
through everyone else's eyes. I would also love to go to
Cotchford Farm and have a nice long chat with Mr & Mrs.
Alistar John who are the present owners. I have heard they
are wonderful people. I hope you have a wonderful time.
Let us know how the hotel is.

Thanks for the beautiful pics of BJ at Monterey.

For some reason, I am having a hard time picturing Eric
Bourdon singing "Paint It Black"??!! It does not compute?!
6th April 2008 04:54 PM
BriansBabe Yes, Sioux dear, youīre right ...and thatīs maybe the reason why I like more the ocean for swimming than poolīs, I love sunbathing very much...I always getting so tanned, that nobody can imagine or believe me, that Iīm from Germany ...

Lisa, liebe, youīve a PM ?? I hope YOU have it and not our Brian sweetie, ya know ???
6th April 2008 05:04 PM
Sioux Eric did a great job with PIB at Monterey. I love Eric. Thought he was the meanest, scariest guy around back then. Dangerous! But very, very cool...

I hear that Cheltenham also has some nice bed and breakfast type places, and I think some are very close to Brian's old haunts. But I don't think Cheltenham is that large to begin with, so I'm sure you'll be close to everywhere you need to go, Lisa...

zooeyglass Alex, Sioux, and Linda:

JA, YES, AND YES

Alex -- got your PM, liebe, DANKE! I will email you for your return on Wednesday, look for an email address similar to my screenname here -- and have a good time away from the day to day grind

Yes, Brian those whiskers are real!

Sioux -- I'd be more than happy to bring something to Brian's grave from you. I'd also like to make a card from those of us here on the Brian thread -- I have so many thoughts on how I want to spend the perfect day in Cheltenham! And I'm staying on the "famous" promenade, I think

I don't care if the boy dyed his hair...

Linda -- I'll take loads of pictures in Cheltenham, have no fear! The Animals doing Paint It Black is in a video that was posted on RO a couple threads ago; here's the link: http://www.novogate.com/board/968/239807-7.html

What great locks!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday all
