To my honest opinion ALL Dutch popmusic is crap because we have no tradition in music. Even Golden Earring and Cuby are crap compared to real good music. |

You're very generous Sir. But it's true. R&R is a distinctly American phenomenon. The British Invitaion was a blip on the screen. They can't play it because they can't "feel" it. Thats really what music is all about. I guess one of the best illustrations of that principal is Dolly Parton's song that Whitney Houston made a hit. And I don't even like it. Not my cup of tea. But I suppose even still Dolly is underrated as a songwriter. Still trying to smash the glass ceiling I guess. Just goes to show you that one can actually be a fan without liking the music. Forgive me Dolly.

Contradiction - Cuby was really good and they started with Blues 66 when it wasn´t that popular.Fleetwood Mac´s 1st album in 68 sounded similar.Golden Earrings 60s stuff wasn´t that bad,but when they lost their " s " they lost their touch.Radar Love,hmm,not my taste.I saw Long Tall Ernie 75 or so,was a good live band,the records - too charts orientated.Herman Brood was good.
