Damn that's like a week from the date I saw them on that tour.

Bloody Jesus on a popsicle stick, WTF? That must have been required by his contract, along with the green M&Ms.

Shades of Nigel Tufnel? Uh huh.

Michael Anthony rocked about as well as Tom Cruise dances. Check it, you decide, some idiot posted this on the Couch earlier:

3rd November 2006 02:04 PM
Egbert Any Tom Cruise material should be redirected to TTM's The Secret's Out thread.
3rd November 2006 02:05 PM
Some Guy This thread should be deleted now.

He really shouldn't be doing the high kick thing anymore. His movements are awkward.

But I'm there in '07 if they want me to!

Saint Sway lets recap the recent VH happenings.... I swear this is beyond Spinal Tap. You just cant make this shit up! I just google it...

after a brief mid-life career stop working as an EMT in New York City, David Lee Roth becomes a Talk Radio Disc Jockey.

He is abruptly fired MID-SHOW a few months later for horrendous ratings and immediately escorted from the building by security

his "No Holds BarBQ" dvd never makes it into stores. Ebay only. But worth every penny to see the bizarre home footage of Dave doing Kung Fu moves spliced between scenes of midgets and strippers at a bar bq

now sporting a Trump-esque comb over, he bounces back by making a bluegrass VH covers record. Promotes it live on Leno and becomes an instant laughing stock on YouTube

in no way does this discourage him from performing the bluegrass songs on Late Night With Craig Ferguson

Eddie battles cancer, alcoholism and whos knows what else and loses is tongue and front teeth in the process

the good news is he claims that he and a partner invented a secret cure for cancer

bad news is that he's not sharing it with anyone

after a few bizarre, drunken appearances at low budget guitar conventions, he bounces back by making porno soundtracks and a sweet cameo spot onstage performing with country faggot Kenny Chesney

he throws a D-List Celeb filled bash to celebrate the release of the porn film at his house (which, coincidentally, was where the porno was filmed)

gushes on Stern about the porno, comparing it to The Godfather

Michael Anthony, who is on an exclusive tour with Sammy Hagar playing Saturday nights at Hagar's Cabos San Lucas tequila bar, is fired from the band and replaced by Eddie's fat 15 year old kid.

glencar As bad as the Stones have been this past year, at least they haven't plumbed the depths of VanHalenhumiliation.
3rd November 2006 03:10 PM
Maxlugar So I guess only me, Moonie and Some Guy are going to this tour?

Poison Dart This story can't be true. Can EVH be that fucked up that he would replace Anthony with his 15 year old fat son?

LMAO. I believe this is the funniest thing I've seen you post.

Nellcote Now that this thing is 3/4 controlled by the VH Family, it really could be good for some serious entertainment...
Consider the possibilities....

Will Roth be more of a puppet than ever?
Will Eddie bring porno stars on stage to bait his son?
Will Valerie show up to preside over the madness?
Will Mike Anthony & Sammy show for a "crash the party" gig?

Developing...

glencar I think VanHumiliation at The Beacon should be Marty Scorcese's next project. That Maysles guy would get SUCH a kick!

They should invite Sammy, so they can add songs like "I can't drive 55" to the set.

I don't know either, BUT in college, I worked for a summer at a forklift tire company and the guy who owned (also a huge Stones fan) was married to Mr. Anthony's cousin.
