I guess this might have something to do with it. Somehow, a year ago I think these tickets are gone.

telecaster "The only reason the STONES are having trouble filling in stadiums in such cities as Boston, NYC, and Chicago at their ridiculous price levels is simply a matter of complete and total oversatuaration in these very same markets."

Say what?

You didn't answer (ignored) the question why 100% of the seats will be sold at show time in the US

Explain to us where "the trouble" is and also howe 100% of the seats will be filled at the start of the show

Your saturation theory is like saying Wal Mart or Starbucks has too many stores so they can't draw business

Cool!

When did the "New York Dolls" sell out Soldier Field?

Or even a neighborhood bar in Chicago?

They couldn't sellout my garage, even if I didn't charge a cover

Yet The Stones have and will fill 101% of seats at Soldier Field and the other stadiums around the US of A

But I am sure that there will be 100 bands playing in Chicago you can see that same night on Oct 11 for about $5

Enjoy

For someone who hasn't seen one show of this tour you sure are pissed about something!

You have zero explanation

When you have a point, besides copy n paste ticket prices because you are mad, let us know

BTW, copy n paste the menu of a local restaurant you won't go to because the prices are too high, but yet it is filled every night

Just try a little harder, ok?

As whole I think it's weak, if it was better mixed and a few songs cut, I'd say it was a strong effort for a adult rock contemporary artist, that's not The Stones, is it?

Oh, the same play on words with no real meaning attached game. Whose mad- certainly not me. Was I copying ticket prices??? Sure but you seem to be the type that completely ignores the obvious especially when the facts get in the way of your slogans or preconceived notions. Those are real live tickets the STONES haven't sold. In case you have trouble counting that 12's tickets (the maximum amount allowed for one sale by Ticketbastard) at all three venues. Now that's a pretty huge chunk of a whole row just sitting there waiting to be sold.

Now to break it down further for you because you seem to the kind that has trouble keeping up. I pulled up all three stadium shows aboout the same time in ticket sales last year & couldn't get more that 2 tickets in a row. Now I can pull up the maximum amount of twelve. That strikes me as a big change from one year to the next. Now, I know you'll respond to actual facts with more catch phrases that have no real meaning but, what the hell, I notice it seems to make you feel good.

It's called supply and demand. The market place. Capitalism. You know, if the stores you mentioned above had whole shelves of goods sitting in their stores with no buyers or takers, what do you think they would do with those goods??? Oh, I asked you a question and forgot. Your the guy who responds back with a play on words with no real meaning so I shouldn't expect a real answer should I?????

pdog They've been through this already... Second show in Sf was pulled off by The Metallica miracle...
They have ways of making things happen like putting asses in the seats. The way I see it, they know they can get away with this. They won't be doing this again. Look at all the venues that won't even have them back b/c the promoters and venues lost money!
My opinion is it's a unattractive way for them to go out into the sunset...
I won't lie, the shows are good, very good... But these prices are pretty insane!
I'm still trying to figure out if the slow sales is why other shows aren't going on sale yet... The Ac show is only about two weeks after Chicago, yet nothing. Chicago went on sale at least two weeks ago if not more...
I don't think it's a coincidence.

Interesting point. What the STONES need is better marketing and more imagination. Let's just pretend they suddenly announced to honor the great fans (and don't get me wrong they are GREAT fans) of Boston, NYC, and Chicago that they have decided to play the entire album of Exile On Main St or Sticky Fingers in it's entirety. Something the STONES have never done in one concert setting before. This would go way beyond what they did with Licks when they played 3 or 4 songs from an album. What do you think would happen to sales???? My guess is there would be a sudden surge of interest.

Instead, you'll be getting the same old warhorses with maybe a few songs being thrown in to the starving masses. They would never take that kind of risk especially at a stadium show.

Still if they come around my neck of the woods, I going to see them. They still put on a hell of a show. I'll just wait and get the tickets in the parking lot just before showtime at give away prices. Something about supply and demand economics.

You might want to check your facts.
The Stones opened The Bigger Bang Tour at Fenway Pahk August of 2005, with two shows. It was a very tough ticket to obtain.
The Stones have not played Gillette Stadium, known as "The Blade", since Sept '02,, the 2nd show of the Licks Tour. They were the 1st rock act ever to play The Blade.

Enough with this ticket sales crap.
This whining is pathetic.
Life is way too short to worry about such items.
Go to a show and enjoy it for what it is.

Someday, you will remember these posts about poor ticket sales and realize how incredibly senseless they are...

Actually, the above quote is merely confirming what you are saying here. If you read what I wrote, I said all three cities had stadium shows that were filled up and sold out last year. Not being able to pull up more than 2 tickets in a row at a stadium show means it was a very tough ticket to obtain. A lot of times I was not even able to do that. We are saying the same thing.
