Angiegirl We're a funny bunch!

Joeykins, I had to look up 'sassy' in my dictionary, it means 'brutaal' in Dutch. Yes, I am. Thank you for teaching me a new English word. Gosh, I never imagined learning something new from the Jackson-circus!

-Not Guilty on all 10 Child Molestation counts-

The rest is a cake walk for him and makes no difference.

Now stop having little kids sleep over...will he learn?

I seriously doubt it. Supposing he is legitimately innocent I would certainly think that for sure he had better cover his tracks from here on out very, very, closely.

Are you talking about the court reporter, Lorna Frey, who read the verdicts? I thought she sounded a lot like Michael Jackson. Scary.

kath well, what a big surprise (NOT!)....he moonwalked.

not to say he doesn't do little boys, but the prosecution did not make their case and the "victim" and his family were waaaaayyyy smarmy....

now we get to see what happens next. will he make a big comeback, or will he sit in his neverland castle and rot away..or what?

texile acually folks - that's the justice system and thank god......
i'm not defending jackson - but in order to convict on a serious crime like this - 98% positive is NOT enough.
there were too many credibility gaps with the material witnesses.....
he may a guilty motherfucker, but our justice system leaves room for even a fraction of doubt.....and that's going to save an innocent person's ass.

There have been way too many accusations against him for me to just dismiss them all as lies.
But Jacko is smart in choosing his victims. He is a predator, and goes after children with unstable family.
I am sickened that he was not at least found guilty on one or two charges.

I HOPE to God that no parent lets their child spend the night at Neverland Ranch ever again. If they do, they should be arrested.

Taptrick GUILTY ! That's my gut reaction. If Michael really wanted to clear all this up and prove he has not attraction to children he could begiun by taking a plethysmograph from an ATSA member. Or perhaps he fears it will show he shows obvious sexual attraction to minors and children.

He needs to just get it over with. It's obvious he wants to be a woman. He needs to get the big operation and get it over with. Come on Michael...we all know you want the "lopitoffame!"

Make believe this wasn’t Michael Jackson,
but John Q. Public, a middle-aged accountant
who lives alone down the block.
You hear he’s been inviting
underage boys over to sleep in his bed.
He admits — on camera, no less — that he does so.
You hear that wine may have been served. You hear
he settled a child molestation case years ago.
Chances are that case would never go to trial
because John Q. Public would be escorted out
of town by the local Tar and Feather Committee.

"Our legal system leave room for even a
fraction of doubt". It does??? Do you really
thing the reasonable doubt criteria would have
been used in the above case???? What do think
the verdit would have been in the above case???

We have a good justice system. However, it
certainly is not a perfect. If the reasonable doubt criteria was
raised as high as it is
for celebrities, guilty verdicts would be few and far between.

The fact of the matter is the reasonable doubt
criteria is raised for wealthy people like
Jacko, not because the evidence is rationally
examined, but becuase they can afford excellent
legal talent who are the ones casting these
reaonable doubts into the jurors minds. On the
flip side, if you can't afford good legal talent,
the reasonable doubt criteria is somehow never
talked about as much and jurors don't talk about
"they just didn't prove the case" as much.
Believe me, there are many people sitting in
jail right now with a fraction of the evidence
they had in the Jacko case.

Ten Thousand Motels Jacko compares himself to Mandela

Michael Jackson has compared his acquital on child abuse charges to Nelson Mandela's release from prison.

He made the claim on his website where the jury's verdict was also ranked with the fall of the Berlin Wall and the birth of Martin Luther King.

The website opens solemnly with the word "Innocent" displayed in black and white as triumphal orchestral music plays.

A V for victory sign pops up, before dissolving into a montage of photos of Jackson and fans as the phrases "vindication", "victory" and "The truth runs marathons", scroll across the screen.

A pop chorus swells as the images move and the site shows a series of significant dates, including the birth of Martin Luther King, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the release of Nelson Mandela.

"Remember this date, for it is a part of HIStory," says the site, http://mjjsource.com, which the 46-year-old singer set up to provide information during his trial.

Taptrick Great points...and remember it's "reasonable doubt" not without doubt. I heard another interesting theory yesterday about juries in general. It says people (jurors) get this strange attachment to famous people and have this idea that they sort of know them becuase they grew up watching the person in the news, on tv, in the magazines, etc..and they develop this sort of weird "...well I know Mr X and he could never have done that...why would he risk everything he has..." Thus you get Robert Blake: not guilty, OJ: not guilty, Michael Jackson not guilty. We still have the average white, fat, bald guy who can spend a million or so on legal defense, ending up with guilty convictions - remember David Westerfield, but there was no celebrity attachment there.
