Girl from Ipanema
( Jagger/Richards ?!?! )

" Tall and tan and young and lovely, The girl from Ipanema goes walking, And when she passes
each one she passes goes "a-a-ah!"

When she walks she's like a samba that, Swings so cool and sways so gentle, That when she passes
each one she passes goes "a-a-ah!"

Oh, but I watch her so sadly, How can I tell her I love her? Yes, I would give my heart gladly
But each day when she walks to the sea, She looks straight ahead not at Joey......................

Tall and tan and young and lovely, The girl from Ipanema goes walking, And when she passes
I smile, but she doesn't see, She just doesn't see, No she doesn't see young Joey .............................."

No, he's more noted for falling off his bike!

OK, OK, just kidding, folks. I'm not going to criticize the guy who happens to be USA's boss today, because this week we are celebrating all that this country did for Europe 60 years ago. So for courtesy's sake, Mr Bush and every American citizen is welcome for a few days in our country. And don't let's forget the troops from Canada, UK, and even Australia and New Zealand. It was truly a world war.

Now back to the Stones front!

Friends who live near Fourchette report that everything has been calm for a few days. Mick is at home but no report of seeing the other Stones in the village or the country nearby. It doesn't mean much because the mansion is big and has extensive grounds surrounded by high walls. If that's where they are, they must stay inside, hopefully in Mick's home studio...

More to come probably in the week-end, when they are rumored to hit Paris...

Monkey Woman Stop stalking the Stones? Hell, no!

Oh, and Demon Life posted not long ago on GaxX3 that according to his source, Keith is in France too. Even better, he's there to work on songs with Mick. More to come...

Jacques Hi again
I have a reliable source, and I can say here they are. At least they were here yesterday.
And they often like to have fireworks. Good for neighbours who have fireworks only on July 14th.

What a dump...when did Mick settle for low income housing? That place cant have more than 35 bedrooms could it?
3rd June 2004 05:23 PM
Jacques This mansion was built in 18th century.
"Only" 12 rooms, a 20 Ha park (I don't know in square yards), a wineyard and a chapel. 3 years to restaur it. Jerry and Mick lived there about 3 months a year before their divorce.

caro I used to study not far from there...One of my teacher says Mick once turned up at the local "fte de la courge" (oh god, how does one translate that? The local marrow fest, or something like that). Stayed a bit, chatted with the peasants, grinned and left. I thought that was kind of a cool story...

By the way, MW: I think 'Demon Life' is the 'Shine a light' who was banned here some time ago. Yuck!

Thanks, but in fact it was posted before by Doug at Shidoobee. DL said it was personal info and that he hadn't seen it in the media yet.

Cool story, Caro! Mick also goes in town sometimes to buy wine, taking time to chat with the shop's owner and some locals who happen by there.

P.S. I don't know about DL really. Sometimes, someone is banned from one board but is happy to stay at another without upsetting people.

beer is a very funny man whose wicked sense of humour is often under-rated or goes un-noticed

as an aside - given the sometimes erratic nature of the post counter i wonder will this be my 2000th post - it shouldn't be as my last read 1998 but then so do my last three posts

p.s. I was just curious about that DL/Shine a Light and their "sources", they seem to be questionable

I've heard that one as well. One guy I heard of hung around the mansion for ages hoping to see Mick and then ended up bumping into him quite by chance in the local supermarket
