Martha Howdy Hi Rock and ROll Sisters and Brothers!

I am at a Hotel in Denver after driving nonstop for 2 days with EVERYTHING we own. We have moved from OH left the house on Friday.....and all is well.

When we got to Denver late last night Neil Young ushered us in with SOuthern Man, then we hears Last Child (is that correct?) by Aerosmith and lastly but not least Run Through the Jungle came on and I felt right at home.

I gotta get to my continental breakfeast....but wantyed to say HI to those of you waiting to hear.

Thank you for the loving prayers, calls and emails.

Love you ,
MArtha!

Watch out for the leftover salmon. Coloradoans really seem to like that for their breakfast.

Yep, Last Child is the correct title, I like that particular era of Aerosmith (73-77).

jb Lyrics for Album: John Denver's Greatest Hits
=========================================================
He was born in the summer of his 27th year,
coming home to a place he'd never been before.
He left yesterday behind him
you might say he was born again,
might say he found a key for every door.
When he first came to the mountains
His life was far away
on the road and hanging by a song.
But the strings already broken
and he doesn't really care,
it keeps changin' fast, and it don't last for long.
It's a Colorado Rocky Mountain High,
I've seen it raining fire in the sky
The shadows from the starlight are softer than a lullabye.
Rocky Mountain High, ...in Colorado....
Rocky Mountain High.

He climbed cathedral mountains, he saw silver clouds below,
saw everything as far as you can see.
And they say that he got crazy once and that he
tried to touch the sun,
and he lost a friend, but kept the memory.
Now he walks in quiet solitude, the forest and the stream,
seeking grace in every step he takes,
his sight is turned inside himself, to try and
understand, the serenity of a clear blue mountain lake.

And the Colorado Rocky Mountain High,
I've seen it raining fire in the sky
You can talk to God and listen to the casual reply.
Rocky Mountain High, ....in Colorado....
Rocky Mountain High.

Now his life is full of wonder,
but his heart still knows some fear,
of the simple things he can not comprehend.
Why they try to tear the mountains down
to bring in a couple more.
More people, more scars upon the land.

It's the Colorado Rocky Mountain High,
I've seen it raining fire in the sky
I know he'd be a poorer man if he never saw an Eagle fly
Rocky mountain high
It's the Colorado Rocky Mountain High,
I've seen it raining fire in the sky.
Friend around the camp fire and everybody's high....
Rocky Mountain High, Rocky Mountain High,
Rocky Mountain High,
Rocky Mountain High.

jb John Denver - Annie's Song Lyrics

You fill up my senses like a night in the forest.
Like a mountain in spring-time
like a walk in the rain
like a storm in the desert
like a sleepy blue ocean
You fill up my senses, come fill me again.

Come let me love you, let me give my life to you
Let me drown in your laughter, let me die in your arm.
Let me lay down beside you, let me always be with you.
Come let me love you, come love me again.

jb I guess hed rather be in Colorado
Hed rather spend his time out where the sky looks like a pearl after the rain
Once again to see him walkin
Once again to hear him talkin
To the stars he makes and askin them for bus fares
I guess hed rather be in Colorado
Hed rather play his banjo in the morning when the moon is scarcely gone
In the dawn the subways comin
In the dawn I hear him comin
Some old song he wrote of love in Boulder Canyon
Guess hed rather be in Colorado
Guess hed rather be in Colorado
Guess hed rather work out where the only thing you earn is what you spend
In the end Im in his office
In the end a quiet cough is all he has to show
He lives in New York City

jb All my bags are packed
Im ready to go
Im standin here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breakin
Its early morn
The taxis waitin
Hes blowin his horn
Already Im so lonesome
I could die

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that youll wait for me
Hold me like youll never let me go
Cause Im leavin on a jet plane
Dont know when Ill be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

Theres so many times Ive let you down
So many times Ive played around
I tell you now, they dont mean a thing
Evry place I go, Ill think of you
Evry song I sing, Ill sing for you
When I come back, Ill bring your wedding ring

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that youll wait for me
Hold me like youll never let me go
Cause Im leavin on a jet plane
Dont know when Ill be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

Now the time has come to leave you
One more time
Let me kiss you
Then close your eyes
Ill be on my way
Dream about the days to come
When I wont have to leave alone
About the times, I wont have to say

Oh, kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that youll wait for me
Hold me like youll never let me go
Cause Im leavin on a jet plane
Dont know when Ill be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

But, Im leavin on a jet plane
Dont know when Ill be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

Thank God I'm a Country Boy (1974 Sommers)

Well, life on the farm is kinda laid back,
Ain't much an old country boy like me can't hack,
It's early to rise, early in the sack,
Thank God, I'm a country boy.

Well a simple kinda life never did me no harm,
A raisin' me a family and workin' on a farm,
My days are all filled with an easy country charm,
Thank God I'm a country boy.

Well, I got me a fine wife, I got me old fiddle,
When the sun's comin' up I got cakes on the griddle,
Life ain't nothing but a funny, funny riddle,
Thank God I'm a country boy.

When the work's all done and the sun's settin' low,
I pull out my fiddle and I rosin' up the bow,
The kids are asleep so I keep it kinda low,
Thank God I'm a country boy.

I'd play Sally Goodin' all day if I could,
But the Lord and my wife wouldn't take it very good,
So I fiddle when I can, work when I should,
Thank God, I'm a country boy.

Well, I got me a fine wife, I got me old fiddle,
When the sun's comin' up I got cakes on the griddle,
Life ain't nothin' but a funny, funny riddle,
Thank God I'm a country boy.

Well I wouldn't trade my life for diamonds or jewels,
I never was one of them money hungry fools,
I'd rather have my fiddle and my farming tools,
Thank God I'm a country boy.

Yeah, city folk drivin' in a black limousine,
A lotta sad people thinkin' that's a mighty keen,
Son, let me tell ya now exactly what I mean,
I thank God I'm a country boy.

Well, I got me a fine wife, I got me old fiddle,
When the sun's comin' up I got cakes on the griddle,
Life ain't nothin' but a funny, funny riddle,
Thank God I'm a country boy.

Well, my fiddle was my daddy's til the day he died,
And he took me by the hand and held me close to his side,
He said 'Live a good life and play my fiddle with pride',
And thank God you're a country boy.

My daddy taught me young how to hunt and how to whittle,
He taught me how to work and play a tune on the fiddle,
Taught me how to love and how to give just a little,
Thank God I'm a country boy.

Well, I got me a fine wife, I got me old fiddle,
When the sun's comin' up I got cakes on the griddle,
Life ain't nothing but a funny, funny riddle,
Thank God I'm a country boy.

Gazza "Colorado Girl

By townes van zandt

I’m goin’ out to denver
See if I can’t find
I’m goin’ out to denver
See if I can’t find
That lovin’ colorado girl of mine

The promise in her smile
Shames the mountains tall
The promise in her smile
Shames the mountains tall
She bring the sun to shining
Tell the rain to fall

It’s been a long time, mama,
Since I heard you call my name
Ah, been a long time
Since I heard you call my name
I got to see my colorado girl again

Be there tomorrow
Mama, don’t you cry
Be there tomorrow
Now, mama, don’t you cry
I got to kiss these
Lonesome texas blues good-bye

I’m goin’ out to to denver
See if I can’t find
I’m goin’ out to to denver
See if I can’t find
