Mikey Ian,

Thanks for taking the time to explain the subject of mastering an album.

Nellcote Someone once said....
"Why don't we sing this song all together..
Open our minds, let the pictures come..
And if we close our eyes all together..
Then we will see where we all come from."

LadyJane I'm so excited to hear this news.
A new album. Finally...after all of this time.
Naysayers beware. I think it will be worth the wait.

The Rolling Stones will not let us down.
Have faith and be patient people.
Everything will come together in due time.

Indeed it is frustrating to wait.
Doesn't it make you tingle to know new product is coming?
I know I'm tingling.
Oh sure. It's been a long long time coming BUT....
The album will be worth it!!!

I'm tingling all over...the anticipation is killing me. Seriously though, I agree, it'll be worth the wait. Unlike some of the posters here, I have total faith in them.

LadyJane I could not have said it better myself!

I am as sick of waiting as everyone else!
Although, haven't we always had to wait for the Stones?
Now days it seems the wait is considerably longer though.

I think the wait will be very worthwhile!
So let's not get all negative here.

A little patience goes along way. Eight years? Who cares?

Considering the Stones started in 1962!
Over that much time they can take as long as they want.
Most bands would have broken up years ago.
Pink Floyd,the Beatles,Led Zeppelin?
Let's face it folks. They were a bunch of "no-hangs".
Everyone gives the Stones shit about age,but c'mon now!
Tell that to Keith! He would brain you with his telecaster!
Even the critics have to give it up for the Stones now!

Man,who would've guessed they'd still be grooving in '05?!
Only the true fans like us kept the faith!
Realistically I thought that they'd bag out after Licks.
And you? Did you really expect another major tour?
Not me! That's for sure, but I'm happy about it! Yes I am!

glencar Honestly? I tingled in 1997. I shudder these days. I hope this one is good. It shouldn't have taken so damned long for this to come about.

March 9th, 2005 05:00 PM
kath giving you a migraine. he seems very good at what he does.....

how's your ear, glencar?
March 9th, 2005 05:06 PM
glencar Hearing's shot, kath. Hearing aid is a definite maybe. Shit! This has been a bad year so far. My unoccupied car got hit by a snow plow last week. Luckily a security camera caught it & the suckers will ay one way or the other.
March 9th, 2005 05:33 PM
kath oh gawd...a snowplow??? bet that left quite a mark!

terry's had hearing aids for a couple years now, they really changed his life! sorry about your hearing, though. what a terrible thing! that's just awful, i'm really sorry.

Bob Tamp According to Stonesdoug the entire cast of characters including back up singers, and Chuck will be arriving in Paris on Monday, March 14th for a week of recording.

If they only record for a week it may be more of a stripped down affair. One can only hope.

If it is infact only a week. What can they possibly do in a week? Hmmm. Interesting. Maybe a good part of all this will just be over-dubbing to what already exists. Geez a week. No Stones record has ever been recorded in one week flat.

Again, my suspicions are alot of it has already been finished one way or another.
