glencar They used Aftermath too early. It should have been used right after Altamont.

Make It Funky #1 has got to be Sticky Fingers
#2 Satanic Majesties Request
#3 Got Live If You Want It (play on words to Slim Harpo)

Exile is a pretty clever title.. so is Beggars Banquet.

Cheers world!

I don't think so. But of course time can change perception. I think it holds up for being 40 years old or so.

Someone suggested a while back they call their NEXT album "England's Oldest Hitmakers".

I think that would be pretty cool and a nice pot-shot at the critics who are always going on about their ages, and they could do it complete with an up to date reconstruction of the pose thats on the original album cover (a la Beatles 1962-66/1967-70 albums)

An excellent idea Gazza! Suggest it to them, and I bet they would love it!

My votes: Sticky Fingers for suggesting sex but not exactly,
Get Yer Ya Ya's Out for the most fun title!
IORR for classic & best catch phrase

Rizollin Anyone else notice a trend with using the letter 'B' twice in Stones albums?

-Between the Buttons
-Beggars Banquet
-Black and Blue
-Bridges to Babylon
-A Bigger Bang

22nd February 2008 02:13 AM
andrews27 It's gotta be the sample at left, since this is the one they still talk about first...

Ronnie Richards Some Girls might not be the coolest title, but it certainly had the best explanation..

"I couldn't remember all their fucking names"

bilsim I agree with the earlier post that Emotional Rescue is a really weak title, as is Dirty Work. I totally agree about the rarities, shame there aren't any.
23rd February 2008 07:18 PM
axl79 No doubt ...

1-Beggars Banquet

2-Satanic Majesties Request
3-Let it Bleed
4-Voodoo Lounge
