I've always liked the title "Between The Buttons".
And I've always thought that "Emotional Rescue" was a really lame title. Appropriate for such a lame album.
My fave album title of all time.....
"You God Damned Son of a Bitch" by The Revolting Cocks...one of my fave band names of all time too!
Oh, BTW.....it's a crap album. I only picked it up because of the title...I just had to have it in my collection.

'Out of Our Heads' was a pretty daring title for 1965, dontcha think?
Some of the best ones were titles that werent used... "Could YOU Walk on The Water?" (Aftermath, I think), "Eat It", "Jungle Disease" (both 'Exile'), "Triple X" (Undercover) and "Butt Naked" ('Stripped) |

Apparently, "between the buttons" is an expression for not yet decided or disclosed. Charlie, who was going to do some drawings for the back cover, asked somebody else the title and was told it was between the buttons. After he finished the sketches, the title stuck. |

Wow, after reading through this thread I realized just how great most of the Stones album titles have been. I'm not sure which are my favrites. I think the only duds are 12X5 and Goats Head Soup. GHS always repulse me. |
