I'm saddened to learn of Roy's passing. I'm doubly saddened because, when I first glanced at this thread's title, I thought that someone had finally gotten around to killing Rob Schneider.

When I was in college in Manhattan in the early 1980s, I was smoking a joint while walking down the street on an early summer night, on my way to a movie in the neighborhood of Bloomingdale's (those were the days when you could do that). Suddenly, I look up while trying to keep it going - that guy in a blazer and striped shirt that I'm about to collide with is...the star of Jaws! You should have seen the look on his face! He was tickled, and had this expression like he was about to laugh, "Whoa-ho-ho!" like he does in some films. I actually turned around and walked backward a few steps, out of disbelief, and he looked back over his shoulder and gave me a smile and an upward head toss. One of my favorite college moments. Always wished he'd made more films. Come back, Roy!
