I'm surprised Mick did watch football in the 70's & 80's but now no longer watches. Uusally if you're a fan, you stay a fan to some extent. |

So, have we discovered the origin of the yellow football tights from the '81 tour? |

Soccer's probably fun in person but on TV it's too damned boring. It's like ice hockey but at much slower pace. |

Oh, don't get me wrong, I agree. I don't give a damn about soccer or Football or whatever. i do enjoy watching Holland play at the World Cup this year, but mainly because I know they'll be finished after 3 games .
I'm just saying, Mick's Brittish. It's cricket and soccer over there, and just soccer over here. It's the heritage. Him watching some American Football while in NY doesn't make him a fan I guess. |

I guess your right. BTW I don't give a damn about either sport either although I do watch occasionally. I'm a baseball fan. |

I'll start caring a bit to join in the fun, if Holland makes it through the first rounds. Even the down-to-earth Dutch can get patriotic. As long as there's beer... |
