Hi everybody, just some ebay finds today:
The best find, in my opinion, was the Brian Jones hanger!
Can you imagine a row of those in your closet?
I love the way the tie goes all the way down

Gracias, B.B.,
This is for you, as Diana draws back her bow in the night sky -
An Luna
by JW Goethe
Schwester von dem ersten Licht,
Bild der Zärtlichkeit und Trauer!
Nebel schwimmt mit Silberschauer
Um dein reizendes Gesicht;
Deines leisen Fußes Lauf
Weckt aus tagverschloßnen Höhlen
Traurig abgeschiedne Seelen,
Mich und nächtge Vögel auf.
Forschend übersieht dein Blick
Eine großgemeßne Weite.
Hebe mich an deine Seite!
Gib der Schwärmerei dies Glück,
Und in wollustvoller Ruh
Säh der weitverschlagne Ritter
Durch das gläserne Gegitter
Seines Mädchens Nächten zu.
Des Beschauens holdes Glück
Mildert solcher Ferne Qualen,
Und ich sammle deine Strahlen
Und ich schärfe meinen Blick;
Hell und heller wird es schon
Um die unverhüllten Glieder,
Und nun zieht sie mich hernieder,
Wie dich einst Endymion |

Ohhhhhh, many thanks for this lovely gift to me, Water Dragon!!!
How could you know, that I love the greek myth about "Diana and Endymion"???
For those who never heard about I try a short explain:
Endymion was a grandson of Jupiter, renowned for his beauty. As a favor, Jupiter placed him in eternal sleep so that he would not suffer old age or death. The goddess Diana, taken by his beauty, would visit him at night...
For Water Dragon:
Silver white the river gleams,
As if Diana, in her dreams,
Had dropt her silver bow
Upon the meadows low.
On such a tranquil night as this
She woke Endymion with a kiss,
When sleeping in the grove
He dreamed . . .
...how I wished beautiful Brian would only sleeping and dreaming, maybe he do...
Love and sweet dreams, Alex

Brian was a 60's icon. He is still an iconic figure to those who study the '60's. I believe that Brian's death, especially, was something a bit more mythological than simply, "death by misadventure." It all comes down to how I was educated, I suppose!
I have always enjoyed, Monty Python's, "Life of Brian" at this time of year. You may want to see if it is available at your local movie rental store. No direct correlation, but I do believe that Brian would have loved it.
Happy Sunday - BJ lovers!

What is Water Rat and Water Horse? What does that mean anyway?
Never heard of that before.
I love British humor, like on Are You Being Served? Or Mr Bean by Rowan
Atkins. Some BBC America has good humorous British television. |
