gypsy Did Bob Dylan pay for this tombstone? Or did he pay for the funeral? I can't remember. It's always bothered me b/c Brian's parents were really wealthy. I don't see why they couldn't have forked over the money for his burial. Strange and sad. Either way, it's a lovely headstone.

Philip Erk, that funeral photo is too much!

GhostofBrianJones I hope S&K will post pictures sometime today. And I think the other ladies will
add theirs as well. It was good to see a new message here for today.

LOVE TO S&K!!! Hope you are okay.

Sioux Bob Dylan paid for, and sent from American, the heavy
bronze casket that Brian was buried in. Brian's parents
were not considered wealthy--middle to upper middle
class at best.

GhostofBrianJones I already know what a funeral is like and I already know what a tombstone
looks like. I would prefer to remember my loved ones and Brian when they
were alive.

GhostofBrianJones Hi Steve I did not see your post before I wrote mine, sorry love.

I am fine. Glad to see your picture and read your message. Love you xx

GhostofBrianJones Yes, I guess it is a habit to just post another message. Apparently I keep
forgetting to edit them. Oh well.

Yes, it's an excellent book full of great photos. I highly recommend it. Michael Cooper was very close to the Stones, and took some wonderful shots of them.

BriansBabe Thank you, I will probably buy it, as always

What is with that one??? Good as well??
16th October 2007 07:15 PM
GhostofBrianJones I have that book with the 11 Hands on it. It is mostly pictures. Good shot of
Donovan and Julian. Alan Clayson is a great writer. He wrote books on each
Stone individually and this is a new one. The one with his hands on his face
and that elaborate jacket and pants is just a face he is making. The Brian Jones
Years is mostly pictures too. BB check them out on Amazon if you are interested.

16th October 2007 07:48 PM
BriansBabe Hi dear, I rarely go to amazon, because I used to ruin my finances, LOL ...No, just kidding...I must have every book, you know? And I should buy an new scaner, yeees, for Brian´s sake

Btw, Linda, you have an email...

And, gypsy, that pic of Julian is very good, he´s a sweet boy...your posts are much better now, Thanks!!!

LadyJane Wow I had no idea Bob Dylan helped pay expenses. How kind of him. It is a lovely tombstone. Very simple.
Some great pics of the early years on this thread.
I'll have to pop in more often.
I know some of you have posted some WONDERFUL photos in the Superblow thread and gypsy's pics, well, what can I say? Always a treat.

LJ.

GhostofBrianJones I had some pictures of Keith I sent to Gazza that I am not sure if anyone here
has seen before. If I find the rest of them or the ones I sent him I don't know
how to post on here. I would like to either send to someone's email, (no
letters just pictures) or whatever if anyone is interested. The pictures are
nice, very clear and great detail I had not seen before.
