I always considered this album to be very average...gave it a second chance...this is a much stronger effort than I remember
time is on my side, I have to totally agree with you, I have always bashed that album on this board and I did the same thing recently played it again.....throw out the keith reggae ballds and its not nearly as bad as i remembered..
Mick singing on Too Tight (whats obviously a keith tune) was good probably my fave track this time around. |

Dead, Dead, and more Dead. This is great music to listen to when you're feeling blue. Be it the "lose-yerself-in-the-music" psychedelic era, the wistful and yearning early '70's stuff, the pastoral and reflective "Wake of the Flood" stuff, or the bouncy post-Pigpen stuff, it's all great to just immerse yerself in and just, like... get lost. |

In between repeated listens to (mostly at work) of:
Bruce Springsteen- Devils & Dust
I've picked up several disc remastered by Cool Cool Hand:
'appy Birthday Dear Nickie- vast improvement over the previous CD I had in my collection, It's Getting Hot UP Here- have there ever been better versions of Bitch and Rocks Off done live???
Cold Steel Blue- this has to be the best live CD from the Steel Wheel- Urban Jungle Tour and, yes, I'm including Atlantic City
The good sister does know how to put on a good production |

I was just listening to this today! Man, Keith & Ron just tore up the solo from SFTD at that show! Possibly one of the best version of SFTD I have heard.
You are right, this CD is probably the best from Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle (with Salut Montreal a close second).
