Happy Birthday Brian Jones
"I Have Loved Hours at Sea"
by: Sara Teasdale
I have loved hours at sea, gray cities,
The fragile secret of a flower,
Music, the making of a poem
That gave me heaven for an hour;
First stars above a snowy hill,
Voices of people kindly and wise,
And the great look of love, long hidden,
Found at last in meeting eyes.
I have loved much and been loved deeply --
Oh when my spirit's fire burns low,
Leave me the darkness and the stillness,
I shall be tired and glad to go.

That must be one of the best photos I've seen of Brian in some time. |

WOW such interesting pictures. Very good.
I wonder what he is doing in this last one with the guitar and the
face he is making? Something must have displeased him or else
someone cut loose. Stash the one in the color picture with BJ
and that multicolored jacket looks like he could be a bodyguard.
I don't like that haircut on him. I think it's the fringes/bangs.
Take care and loveya. |

It was indeed taken in '69 Olympic Studios. There are a few more I'd like to post but don't know how.

Hi! I thought it was from 1968 wasn't it? Stewed and Keefed
will explain how to upload photos on here. I am having trouble
myself. I think the explanations are somewhere located at the
top under the header. Good Luck!!

You are right, GhostOfBrianJones, it was taken at the end of 68. Don't know what I was thinking. Thank you. I'll give it a try. |

Yes indeed Ms Sophia you are absolutely right on lady!! He was the FINEST
man there ever was!! So beautiful and sexy, handsome, gorgeous, desireable,
delicious and I just bet a wonderful love maker and kisser, listen to me!
S&K makes many of his BJ fans estatic, brings sunshine into our lives, and
reminds us of what a good musician he was, a talented, brilliant man and
a decent human for the most part I truly believe.
I wish to always thank S&K (and anyone else) for posting these wonderful
pictures. I wish I could have seen him when he came to my town in the Sixties
but could not go, did not have a car to use. And unfortunately he never came
again, that I know of. I would have hocked everything I owned to see him in
person, just to speak to him, and have all those good memories. |

ghostofbrianjones... i am sure hes with us... and i am sure he sees the ones who remind him and ever will........
i am so damn young, probably the youngest here!?...and i am happy and feeling honored about having such a wonderful, unique hero like brian!..and that since my infancy..i just were able to walk on my own and to think..and then there were those records... so i built a "cabin" of those..to keep me warm and umbressed all the time when my mom had to work days and nights until she got home..and that was quite often..this being alone. its weird i have just built this very emotional connection to him..inside. like feeling close.. just through the music
and i know i will carry him in my heart until i drop dead.
i love this thread... every day i come here, excited about a new picture..and every single pic just brightens my day.. every day!!
i send verbal flowers |
