Not sure we can blame the crowd for lack of response.Talked to 2 friends who were there in diffrent parts of stadium. They said you couldnt hear even what song was being played..and many people are moving to concessions or bathrooms.. |

Send In The Frogs / Baby Joshy / Baby Joey
Isn't it rich? Are we a pair -
Me here at last on the ground, you in mid air?
Send in the Frogs.
Isn't it bliss? Don't you approve -
One who keeps tearing around, one who can't move?
Where are the frogs? Send in the frogs.
Just when I'd stopped opening doors
Finally knowing the one that I wanted was yours.
Making my entrance again with my usual flair.
Sure of my lines. No one is there.
Don't you love farce? My fault, I fear.
I thought that you'd want what I want.
Sorry, my dear.
But where are the frogs? Send in the frogs.
Don't bother, they're here.
Isn't it rich? Isn't it queer -
Losing my timing this late in my career?
Where are the frogs? There ought to be frogs.
Well, maybe next year...... ( fade to Baby Steel Magnolia )

Any guitar junkies out there know what guitar Ronnie Wood was playing during Rough Justice???
The brand is Zemaitis, and it's basically called a Disc Front. Here's a link...
http://www.privateguitarcollector.com/zronwoodszem.htm
Did anyone else think the sound sucked for this show? Where was Keef's guitar? He should have been heard, but it was like he was muted. Personally I'm going to blame the sound people who mixed it. Anyone see the preshow? There was numerous mixing errors (mics muted when it was someones turn to sing) Ohhh well... |

Yeah, that's one of Woody's Zemitis guitars.
You can't buy that guitar. The one Woody is playing is a one off custom job. They do make a version availible for public consimption though.
If you want one, I hope your bank account is very large.

You'd think for once, the fucking sound engineers would get it right......As someone who has played music live for years, a shitty sound man or monitor tech can make a great performance sound like shit. Your'e basically at their mercy- especially on an event like the SB. It seems like the Stones ALWAYS get screwed on their mixes. |

thanks for that Zematis link. some cool pics of Rich Robinson's custom Zematis on the photo gallery page. One of those looks like he cloned Woody's. No surprise.

I read somewhere that Charlie Watts was wearing a hypercolor shirt last night during half time, was that really a hypercolor shirt? Can we get some sort of confirmation. I'm convinced I saw an interview with him somewhere about it, but now I can't find it. Any help would be fantastic, thanks. |

AMEN!!! I'm also a musician and I think whoever did the halftime sound needs to be put in jail or at least tied up and have rocks thrown at them.
IT"S THE ROLLING STONES, there is no reason to have sound like that, I expect it at the local bar, but not at such a big event. |

how long did it take to set that stage up? ten minutes?
I suppose when you allow it to be a rush job like that, some things are going to get compromised - which is a shame |

I know he wore a violet shirt, but hypercolor is where it changes color when hitting heat. That was what I read on the net at least. |

I don't mean stylistically - I mean performance-wise.
I agree that their style is better than most modern music. |

Hey, i have a question. The people on the field were very enthusiastic. Maybe, "too" enthusiastic. Were they paid goons or real fans or competition winners? I mean, it looked good and all with that arm waving and people jumping up and down, but just wasnt too natural. Or am i being cyncical? Still, i loved it. Great photo in Melbourne's AGE today. Our other daily rag (owned by 1 Mr. R. Murdoch) featured nothing on them at all.
And, Bovine clearly has mad cow disease!
Boom-boom.
