Smoking is very hard to quit.
I started around sixth grade and quit around '92.
I don't think there has been a day that has gone by that I don't see someone smoking and wish I could join them.
Around 9/11 actually, I had a brief flare up with the butts again. I had one while drinking after work and it was like I never stopped. My body took that nicotine and my brain immediately got addicted. The next day I bought a pack on the way to work like I hadn't skipped a beat. Fucked up shit those cigarettes. You can't fool yourself into thinking you can just have one every now and then.
At least I can't.
