Factory Girl with Sum 41. Check it out.

PS. Paris Hilton is dating the singer of Sum 41...LOL
11-28-03 09:56 AM
Zeeta Hey FG what is his new album like??
I have heard the Sum 41 tune twice and find it a bit crappy. What is the rest of the album like, does it differ from that tune??
regards
Zeetfest

Factory Girl Hey, Z-baby! The new cd "Skull Ring" is pretty good, but not one of his best. It certainly doesn't stand up to his early work with the Stooges. It is a hard rocking record, but its a bit formulaic, and the lyrics are not that great.

I would rate it a 6.5 on a scale of 1 to 10.
11-28-03 10:14 AM
Zeeta Okay, very informative there F-baby!
I may give it a miss and BABI (buy and burn it!) or just download it.

Do you or anyone rate Sum 41 - they are critically acclaimed here (UK) but to me they seem just a bit like a punk-boy-band! Could be like Busted or something www.busted.com

Cheers
11-28-03 10:18 AM
Factory Girl Z-muffin, I'm not familiar with Sum 41, so I'll let someone else take that question.

LMK your thoughts on "Skull Ring", once you had a chance to check it out.

mac_daddy figured I would post this in a more appropriate place...

I like your avatar - how does this grab ya..?

Honky Tonk Man I honestly didn't know Sum 41 were criticaly aclaimed! I think they are terrible. Im just not into that scene at all.

Don't go there Zeeta, PLEASE!

Alex

mac_daddy yeah - I'd stay away from sum41, too. They kinda suck...

it's one thing when Iggy is backed by the Stooges (and Mike Watt) or by the Trolls (with J. Mascis amd Watt), but Sum41..? I would definitely pass.

Ha! Don't worry mate I wasn't gonna ! Just a bit baffled why Iggy would work with these hacks?!
Have you managed to embrace Kings of Leon yet??!
11-30-03 08:00 AM
Honky Tonk Man LOL, Zeeta, listen to what ever you want. In a way, there are two types of music. GOOD MUSIC AND BAD MUSIC. Im not into skate boarding and i don't like the way they dress, but i always quite liked Blink 182.

Yes, bought the Kings Of Leon album a week or two ago. Very good. Not as good as Room On Fire, but i like it.

Factory Girl Alex, I still can't embrace "Room on Fire". I do like the Libertines a lot, thanks for the recommendation.

Honky Tonk Man Well FG, if you are not embrasing Room On Fire by now, i fear you may as well give up. Satying that though, it took me a hell of a long time to "get" Exile. I just didn't enjoy it. Another thing about the new Strokes record is that it sounds completley different to Is This It. I suppose on the surface it sounds the same, but overal there is a different sound and i think they have really progressed. Anyway, enough of me spouting dribble!

I am REALLY PLEASED your enjoyimg the Libertines album. That one just gets better and better.

Alex
12-02-03 06:16 AM
Zeeta Let's just embrace each other!!!
12-02-03 08:52 AM
Factory Girl Yes, I'm ready to be embraced...

Alex, I'll try again because I would really like to embrace the Strokes...LOL
12-02-03 09:43 AM
Zeeta Man we have mice in our office...but alas I am embracing them - snuggling up to their little cute whiskers.

for some reason no-one else is embracing the mice!
12-02-03 09:52 AM
Factory Girl Hey Z, be careful cuddling the mice. And, do not give them any cheese-that would be taking a mouse to dinner.

I embrace you!
12-02-03 10:46 AM
glencar I thought the problem with the new Strokes is that everything sounds the same as the first CD. I'm just going on a pair of reviews I read.

Where the fuck has it gone? You have that gay looking guy back up! Put him away!

Alex
12-02-03 04:08 PM
Factory Girl Hey, Alex baby chill out. My avatar of Layne is not gay.
