It's called window in the skies. It is a very good song. A bit poppy but sometimes it works. Kinda like Orginial of the Speices off of Atomic Bomb. |

Bono is at a U2 concert in Glasgow when he asks
the audience for some quiet. Then in the silence,
he starts to slowly clap his hands.
He says into the microphone...
"Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies."
A voice from near the front pierces the silence...
"Well, stop fucking clapping then."
I love the joke, but it didn't happen. It does sound realistic though, let's face it. That's why it's so damn funny |

According to my web research, Bono started dating his wife, Alison "Ali" Hewson in 1975, and married her in August, 1982.
While I have no problem with rock stars (or anyone, for that matter) being promiscuous and/or cheating on their steady girlfriend, it seems a little hypocritical for "holier than thou" Bono to be engaging in such behavior.
What planet do you live on? Most married men cheat on their wives, especially rock stars. And most wives do too, but don't try getting any of them to admit it. First rule of cheating: deny, deny, deny! |

Not doubting the veracity of your story, but U2 played several shows at The Ritz, not Roseland, in late '81 and early '82.
I was straining my brain to remember the venue, and it very well could have been the Ritz. I went out alot back then, and some of it's a blur but I'll never forget meeting Bono. Odd that he didnt mention he was married! |
