keithriffhard Ambulance Blues
My my Hey Hey / Hey Hey my my
ALbequereque

oh god there's so much more

Cortez the Killer
Out on the Weekend
Revolution Blues
Tonight's the Night
Lookout Joe
Like A Hurricane
Powderfinger
The Painter
Heart of Gold
Rockin' in the Free World
THE WHOLE AFTER THE GOLD RUSH ALBUM
Thrasher..............

Neil is seriously the most timeless artist with Dylan and the Stones of all time

oh by the way, I loved Greendale, Prairie Wind was just fucking amazing, much more than I thought it would be. And Living with War was the album that needed to be made and is amazing, probably Neil's most daring, in your face, and moving work of his career.

Prodigal Son Can I go by his different styles? Because it's hard to measure up the three and it depends what mood I'm in and this is the only clear way I can set aside 3 songs per style:

Folk:
1. Ambulance Blues
2. Ride My Llama
3. The Needle and the Damage Done

Softer folk/piano/orchestral ballads, etc.
1. A Man Needs a Maid
2. After the Gold Rush
3. Expecting to Fly

Blues-based:
1. This Note's for You
2. Speakin' Out
3. Tonight's the Night

Folk-Rock
1. When You Dance I Can Really Love You
2. Don't Let it Bring You Down
3. Look Out for My Love

Country
1. Heart of Gold
2. Old Man
3. Mellow My Mind

Grungey/Hard Rockl: aaah, this is too hard. Let's choose the essential ones and pick any three and it will suffice:
I've Been Waiting for You, The Loner, Mr. Soul, Cortez the Killer, Barstool Blues, Don't Cry No Tears, Danger Bird, Hey Hey My My, Cinnamon Girl, Down By the River, Cowgirl in the Sand, Sedan Delivery, Rockin in the Free World, Love and Only Love, No More. Those are all amazing, amazing classic rock songs as far as I see it. Neil hasn't written a classic song in years, but I still love the guy.

Taptrick I think my favorite is actually a song no one has mentioned: Little Wing - not the hendrix version but the beautiful Young song off Hawks and Doves:

"Little Wing"

All her friends call her Little Wing
But she flies rings around them all
She comes to town when the children sing
And leaves them feathers if they fall
She leaves her feathers if they fall

Little Wing, don't fly away
When the summer turns to fall
Don't you know some people say
The winter is the best time of them all
Winter is the best of all.

Saw this dude do a cover on youtube - not bad in my opinion:
