Sir Stonesalot I have a smokin' version of Rockin In The Free World with Pearl Jam on my MySpace page. Once I figured out how to post YouTube vids, I kinda went nuts with it.

When I saw the Stones in Pittsburgh last year, Pearl Jam opened. Pearl Jam closed their set with "Rockin in the Free World". They did an oustanding version of that song.

sirmoonie I read somewhere - maybe even liner notes for Decade? - that Neil disliked Heart of Gold - he thought it was too pop. WTF? Maybe the greatest song of all time?

Neil!

Great thread marko, my C10 bruddah.
11th November 2006 05:34 PM
paddy heart of gold
cortez the killer

i saw him at hammersmith a few years back, worst show i have ever seen.he was doing "greendale" or "greenville" or something.

i was about to throw myself over the balcony when it ended.then he came out again and played a few decent songs.
11th November 2006 05:47 PM
Stonesthrow Writing or performing? If performing, only solo?

If solo, my 3 are Down By The River, Emperor Of Wyoming, and Southern Man. If not only solo, I would go with Mr. Soul and Do I Have To Come Right Out And Say It by Buffalo Springfield along with Southern Man.
