Col Well, although Lennon was on record saying he was always very very shy, he still claimed he was Jesus Christ! Egos and shyness are not incompatible. I should know

Dan From what I have heard:
David Lee Roth/Eddie Van Halen/Alex Van Halen. Anybody who knows more about the band can decide who goes in the top slot.

He did? He claimed that? I don't recall that. He did say something on the lines of the Beatles being more popular than Jesus once. But that's not exactly the same thing. Maybe Yoko claimed that once or something, but we all make wild statements in the throws of orgasm sometimes.

Joey " But that's not exactly the same thing. Maybe Yoko claimed that once or something, but we all make wild statements in the throws of orgasm sometimes. "

" People say I'm crazy doing what I'm doing,
Well they give me all kinds of warnings to save me from ruin,
When I say that I'm o.k. they look at me kind of strange,
Surely your not happy now you no longer play the game,

People say I'm lazy dreaming my life away,
Well they give me all kinds of advice designed to enlighten me,
When I tell that I'm doing Fine watching shadows on the wall,
Don't you miss the big time boy you're no longer on the ball?

I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round,
I really love to watch them roll,
No longer riding on the merry-go-round,
I just had to let it go,

People asking questions lost in confusion,
Well I tell them there's no problem,
Only solutions,
Well they shake their heads and they look at me as if I've lost my mind,
I tell them there's no hurry...
I'm just sitting here doing time,

I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round,
I really love to watch them roll,
No longer riding on the merry-go-round,
I just had to let it go......( fade out to Baby Steelie ) "

he did actually say it...on a different occasion.

I think it was to the rest of the band during a recording session around 1968-69 or so...

something tells me it was a 'narcotically induced' comment.

Ted may be arrogant but he does have his moments. I don't hate him. He's got one song, and that one he stole from his partner, but that's about all he accomplished.

monkey_man As some one that has worked in the concert industry for 17 years, my list of the the biggest pains in the ass are:

Chrissie Hynde
Ted Nugent
Tracy Chapman
Marilyn Manson
Danny Elfman/Oingo Boingo
Rickie Lee Jones
Most Rap artists from the last 10 years

Actually most are a pain in the ass but the list above are the worst offenders that I can remember as far prima donna demands!

Ten Thousand Motels Ted? It figures.

Makes no sense. He has his moments, but he had one song that he stole, that's about all he accomplished? You are internal inconsistent within the span of 3 sentences.

Child of the Moon As for the Lennon thing... I believe it was in an interview later on in his life. He was referring to the duality of his personality - part of him thinks he's a loser, the other part thinks he's God Almighty (his words). Thus he was a bit of a conflicted sort, kind of like Brian Jones or any number of artists. Hell, I sometimes feel that way - sometimes I'm hot shit, other times I'm just shit.

He made the comment during either the White album or Let It Be sessions. I can't remember which. As ridiculous as it sounds, it wasn’t just something he blurted out either. He phoned Derek Taylor (wasn't he the Beatles publicist?) and told him to gather up as many people as possible for an EMERGENCY meeting, where he of course went on to declare he was Jesus Christ.

Jair Noel Gallagher!

J.J.Flash Although these convoy of geniuses (see Jon Lord, Ian Paice, Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan and Roger Glover) will always have that special place in young Jay's heart and easily being part of my TOP 2 Greatest R'n'R bands in the whole damn world, Ritchie Blackmore surely is the most arrogant motherfucker that ruled Rock'n'Roll to walk on earth.......

He's always been mean with Ian Gillan mostly......

Hey Motsie.... is that really Mariah Carey and Jacko on your list?!?!? I've got to know!
November 10th, 2005 07:44 AM
J.J.Flash ...and despite they (Kiss) used to play some dirty, good Rock'n'Roll in the 70's, Genne Simmons is a prick....
