glencar Great start to the set list & then all "the usual crap"! I just read on shidobbbbbbbe that they're not doing "sway" again. Why the eff not?
October 8th, 2005 10:08 PM
VoodooChileInWOnderl Stonesdoug said that it's because the audience reaction was too bad

Ain't that a shame? I still wanna hear Jiving Sister Fanny but I realize most fans have never heard it. Sway's different though.

LadyJane Show is over....great little story.

After final bows...Mick took Charlie by the hand and brought him to the front of the stage...crowd went wild...Charlies bowed and then pointed to Mick...crowd wild again.

Walked off together.

LJ.
October 8th, 2005 10:52 PM
glencar The applause for Charlie hasn't been as sustained on this tour.

awww. that makes me tear up.. thanks LJ.. I just copy and pasted to Shidoobee, if that was ok?.. *sigh* I love this band
October 8th, 2005 11:01 PM
LadyJane I posted it there too....but that's okay.

I'm all choked up too.

Blue...I noticed that too...BUT...it seems as if it's intentional...by that I mean Mick doesn't give the crowd time to get going. He jumps to Keith quickly. My hunch...Charlie didn't want any maudlin sympathy...he's such a class act.

I see that you did, that is such a beautiful story...

I think that you are right LJ above, too, LJ.. and Charlie is the classiest act!!

Trey Krimsin It's a disappointment I couldn't go to this show. I had to do a rough draft of an essay that's due tomorrow (Even if I didn't, I couldn't afford to go.). However, the classic rock station nearest here (Rock 92.3 in Greensboro) has been playing Stones non-stop tonight, and they played Sway, damnit! I'm hoping they play Winter, but I highly doubt they will. Oh well, I got to hear Sway on the radio.
October 8th, 2005 11:28 PM
kath i'd seen mick and charlie do that on the b2b tour...mick pirouetting under charlie's raised hand..charlie looking horrified....i love it when they do that.

but glencar is right. i was verry disappointed in the applause for charlie at giant's stadium. i think the damn venue should come tumblin' down when they introduce the man!!!
