That was mighty gentlemanly of you, Voodoo! Thanks for taking care of that! I guess ole' pavlov's been in trouble round these parts as well?

A lesson was learned here, today, folks, and I think that lesson is: NEVER MESS WITH THE ROCC!!!!

Wow, pavlov, that was quick. Gaslanders, be ready for pavlov's next post declaring that he's "tired of the scene" at RocksOff!

No shit, huh?

Thanks for the compliment, btw.

Okay, thanks! I will now openly admit to you all that I am a gay man. There, I said it. To be clear, I have always been gay and I've always been a Stones fan. Yep, since diapers - for both. LOL My Grandmother had Between the Buttons and I'd dance to "Let's Spend The Night Together" when I was 2 or 3 years old. I'm 40 now. I love the Stones, I love KISS, I love the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patirots and I really love BEER. LOL I'm a man... a gay one... and proud of my masculinity.

As for Gay fans: When the Stones opened at Fenway Park in August I'm not sure how many of you knew that there is a gay bar about a block from the park. It's called the "Ramrod". Not my kind of place actually but I stopped in there for a cheap beer (well, cheaper than in the stadium anyway) before and after each show. Both days there were handfuls of gay Stones fans having beers before and after the shows. So yes, there are gay Stones fans!

This is a first, as far as I know, if you're serious. Welcome!

Is the Ramrod anything like the Eagle Tavern or the Hole in the Wall in SF? 99% of the people on this page are Stones fans. They loved it when I sang Sweet Virginia!

Yep, I'm serious - I'm a gay Stones fan and there were Stones fans at Ramrod before and after the Boston shows.

Ramrod is more of a leather/denim bar. "When the whip comes down". LOL So again, not my kind of place! But I do have to admit that after the shows when boy/girl couples were drifting in for a drink the looks on their faces after they got their beers were priceless. LOL They'd order their drinks, chat with each other about the show, pay, and then notice their surroundings. Again, priceless. LOL

The Eagle and the Hole are biker bars. They're the gathering places for and owned by two members of the RMC (rainbow motorcycle club) and the owners expressly forbid the playing of disco. Actually, these are the ONLY bars in SF I've ever heard play "Talk is Cheap."

My band played at the Eagle quite a bit and it was hilarious when my guitar player's fratboy and sorority chick friends would show up early and you could watch them from the corner calling frantically on their cell phones to determine if they were really in the right place. lmao...

pdog The crowd from The Eagle are always very cool people!
not your stereotypical gay crowd, which is very good. These are the type of guys anyone could hangout with even the most homophobic! They like cool rock music, beer and don't hit on you if they know you're not gay! Most straight men could learn alot from these guys about how to score with girls, believe it or not!
