that would be kinda difficult...
as I think of them now, Mickboy did a nice job speeding up "Drift Away," too. Who wrote that song?
the song "Winter" is another keeper from that album...
Exile is tough act to follow - esp. since I am not sure everybody knew how special that collection was at the time. But I agree with you all - it is a great album. The vinyl that Mickboy pulled his set from sounds great - different from my LP and from my Virgin (Record Co.) CD. If you can find original LPs pressed on the heavy vinyl (not the cheap sh*t used in the early 80s), they are well worth purchasing. And if cared for properly, they will only appreciate in value (like that Exile book I was about to buy for $700+ -- whoever bought it hours before I logged in to pull the trigger saved me some cash, and my wife thanks you, but I still am a bit bummed about it). I've sold old stereo equipment, taping equipment, cars, bikes, etc..., and while it is always hard to part with stuff, the only two things that I found to be irreplaceable are the records and the books I have sold, and I will never sell another again... |

I absolutely was going to buy it - and when I had sacked up and logged in, somebody else had gone through with the "buy it now" option, which is what I was going to do. I had no idea that thing existed, and I have already put out queries with two book dealers I know here in town. |

i found that "genesis publisher" page when those books were first being printed, but at the time i couldn;t afford the damn thing. I can afford one now, but i still think its wrong that those people are charging what they were/are for something that should be seen and enjoyed by so many people. oh well. Exile's worth it.... |

yes - I agree the books are outrageously priced. That orange one looks interesting, too. I would love to SEE them first - it is alot of money to shell out for something sight unseen. |

IORR and GHS go together in alot of ways, so listening to them together relly is a nice way to follow up Exile (at least for this listener ) - ymmv. |
