The Who have been putting out "Official Bootlegs" for several tours now. I saw them back in 2002 and they were selling CDs of the show back then.
It came in a plain brown cardboard sleeve with the band name, venue, and date stamped on it by a rubber stamper. Nice touch...an obvious tributr to the old days of vinyl boots in plain brown sleeves.
And the quality is brilliant.
The DVD part is new...I wish that they had done a DVD of the show that I saw in Hershey. |

I have already preordered the CD/DVD set of the San Jose show. I bought CDs of the shows I saw on the last two tours and they rock. |

Not the discs that I got back in 2002. I don't know about the current status. I'd imagine the DVDs are...
You know, there are a lot of Rock n Roll clubs that do this too. You can order the discs before the show, and they are ready for you to take home about an hour after the show is finished. It's a very cool idea.

In Wednesday's NY Post tehre was an article by one Dan Aquilante about howe the Who show at MSG was better because Pete was all "Mr. Pleasant." Fuck that! I enjoyed Surly Girly Man! |
