i'm tempted to send in a list of songs from other bands i'd like to hear the stones do:

God Save the Queen (Pistols)

Station to Station (Bowie)

Legalize It (Peter Tosh)

the list could be endless

but i'm sure they'd just dismiss me as some kind of crack pot....

LMAO. Can you imagine if they launched into "bohemian rhapsody" or something

When I went to my first Stones concert,at Slane in '82, a mate of mine thought it would be a good idea to shout between songs for them to play "Get Back". It didnt work, but we both experienced a "Twilight Zone" moment a day or so later when we read that supposedly McCartney WAS at the show!

gimmekeef I've actually thought it would be cool if the did a Beatles song....to prove how much of a better live performing act that are!
July 29th, 2005 11:23 AM
Gimme Shelter They could pull out "I Wanna Be Your Man".

corgi37 Well, like it or not, i 100% guarantee Streets of Love will be in the set.

I dont mind if they keep the "A" list warhorses, but many certainly need over hauling.

Brown Sugar - Shorten it by 2 minutes
Sympathy - Lose the disco arrangement and go back to the Ya-ya's era version, or spend some bucks and hire a a bunch of drummers, like Hyde Park, or ditch it.
Gimme Shelter - Speed it up.
JJF&SAtisfaction - Dump the trumpets.
honky tonk women - Shorten it and dump the keyboard solo & kick!
Tumblin dice - shorten this bitch
YCAGWYW - Man, i dunno. Its just - dunno. Lame? Needs a red hot solo from Woody.
Songs i want to never hear again.
Street fighting man
IORR
Miss you
wild horses
angie
shattered

Songs i'd like to hear, that could replace the ones i dont like.
sway
love is strong
black limousine
she was hot
fingerprint file

But, really, i think it will all be much the same, save 3 or so newies. Maybe 4 newies.

Actually, Jack Flash is QUITE OK for me. And I agree with you on Start me Up..... I wouldn't mind if they leave this one out of the setlist......

I can deal with every setlist they arrange, is at least Midnight Rambler is included.....NO Sympathy though.....
