egon rtl 4,like all most commercial dutch stations), sucks
big hairy balls!!!

who's presenting it and will the stones actually stop playing when the announce the no's?

mick; "next up satisfaction, right after a message from our sponsors".

i feel sick.
07-17-03 06:38 AM
Moonisup I think Marc klein essink will do that,

why RTL 4, a big crowd on tv, more people look at it then Nederland 1,2 en 3
07-17-03 06:47 AM
egon marc klein essink...?

i'm gonna ask joey to cry violently on my behalf!!
07-17-03 06:49 AM
egon i bet 100 dollars or euros that his opening line will be;

let's see who will get some SATISFACTION tonight!!!

shoot me, just shoot me NOW!

Gazza they'll probably take a break during the keith set as usually happens in these live broadcasts on commercial stations

I'd no knowledge of this "lottery" draw. maybe they'll just put the numbers up a subtitles..or Mick will read out the numbers during the band intros. right now,he's probably taking time on his days off learning the Dutch expressions for "bonus ball" and "roll over".

ok,so it seems a few countries may be carrying this show "live". I'll bet that Britain will be the exception - as in the 1998 Bremen show which must have went to about 40 countries in europe and africa - as they wont show it here as this will have been the only country on the tour that hasnt seen the Stones yet and it would ruin the "surprise" factor.

Yeah, commercial breaks during Keef and B-stage or something, and maybe right after Don't Stop?? LOL.

My guess would be the subtitles for the lottery numbers, but I would like to hear and see Mick announce the numbers in Dutch, grin! That might make a special show, hahaha!

we all looked like SHIT... Well, at least *** I *** did
'cause I had waited (actually SAT) in line sinse the morning
and I was all sweaty, and shit...
lol.................................... :P :P :P :P :P :P :P
:P :P :P ), but I WANTED to hear when mick asked the
audience in the vbery beginning, which he DID do, why
everyone was frowning and then he went-off on this TIRADE
about how people here think they're so great, etc.!!! THAT
was BIZARRE... lol................ But, we were FROWNING
because... DUH!!! WE WERE, oh, just a TAD bit tired!!!

Angiegirl We are used to queueing all day (although we don't do that for every show anymore, too tiring) and I can't remember anyone having a frown on his face in a club when the Stones came out on stage, not even if you hadn't slept for 48 hours...!!! I guess it was a first for Mick too...
07-22-03 12:16 AM
MarthaMyDear I had a frown 'cause I was COMPLETELY wiped-out but that soon
ended as soon as they started to play!!!
lol.................................. :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P
:P :P If Mick's ego can't
take it, that's too fucking bad for him!!!
lol.................................. :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P
:P :P The guy in line
blowing pot smoke in my face all day didn't help matters much
either!!! CRACKING-UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then again, I didn't
have to inhale it, either!!!
lol.................................. :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P
:P :P Good show, none-
the-less!!! lol.................................. :P :P :P :P
:P :P :P :P :P :P I just
don't know why that's not on the boot 'cause that was a LONG
rant...

You see, its people like you and Angiegirl who are the REAL HARDCORE Stones fans. Im a huge fan, but i wouldn't camp out and sit in a line all morning FOR ANYONE!

It just all seems like so much stress and hassle. Id rather just turn up and go in. You can do that for club shows. Im pretty sure that what Sir Stonesalot and Sirmoonie did when i met them before the Roseland show.

UNLESS, the shows you are talking abvout had a standing section?

Alex

Angiegirl Alex, I must admit that I haven't really queued hardcore these 5 shows I've seen this tour so far... only for the Olympia from 1 pm, but that even wasn't necessary. It was just fun to taste the ambiance as we were all so keen on getting in and see that show.

O, and for OlympiaHalle Munich, from 1 pm also, but that was great fun too. Being our 1st show again and being our first arena-size venue for the Stones, we thought it was wise to check out the size and stuff first. We learned that we didn't have to queue at 6 am anymore. That's great.

I'm not like in 98 anymore, where the show only mattered if I was standing front row. In Paris stadium we were in the front section, bit back at the side and it was a fantastic spot to see the show. Too bad the show wasn't fantastic, it was just the spot we had, lol. But I still want to be really in the front for at least 1 show these coming 2 months. Not 1st row, but somewhere near, if possible. BTW, front row B-stage is fantastic too, especially in an arena!

And Martha, I know! Isn't it amazing that all your fysical discomforts seem to disappear when we get to see the boys!!

The shows I'm talking about anyway, yes. I am more familiar with main-land-Euro shows which have GA standing on the floor. Even the UK used to till this tour, right?

I wouldn't queue for a minute when I had reserved seats.
07-24-03 03:36 PM
Honky Tonk Man I beleive all the Wembley Stadium shows had a standing section. I sadly wasn't at ANY of those shows, so im not too sure. Personaly, if i could pick one show from the last 20 years to of been at, it would be ANY of those 12 Wembley shows they did!

You know, i can actually undertand why you would want to quee up so early. Obvsiously there is no need if you already have seats, but it would be an absolute DREAM for me to see the Stones close up in a theatre. If i knew i could get tickets for the Astoria on the day of the show, i would be prepared to quee for hours!

I remember reading about you getting tickets on the day of the Olympia show. Thats quite inspiring. Kind oif makes mer wonder whether i should get my arse into gear and go to London on the morning of the Astoria show.

We will see

You should!! The morning of the day before the show and/or the morning of the show-day itself they will sell some tix, as they do everywhere, even if they only sell like 50 or so like in Paris! It's worth it and great fun hanging around and talking with fans. Do it Alex, you won't regret it.
