Gazza >Ah , yeah . Entwistle died on the Eve of the tour . The tour was already booked so they could not cancel it without giving back millions in promotion /rights fees and various / sundry distribution correlation fundings .

Townshend has just been quoted in the press today in the UK as saying that there will be a new Who album recorded very soon. so I guess its Roger who's skint this time? LOL

BTW Joey - "Eminence Front" is a personal fave of mine too (expecially that great live version from the 'final'(!!) show in Toronto that they had the good wisdom to add as bonus material on the CD of "Its Hard")

And sorry to say, but Mellencamp's view of what the Stones stand for today is spot-on. Good though the shows are, anyone who cant see that this tour (and recent ones)is a corporate driven nostalgia fest in the extreme is deluding themselves. The Stones are still capable of making good albums. BTB had a lot to commend it and IMO bettered anything theyd done since the early 80's. To be six years down the line with no sign of a follow up is appalling.

Gary , I too have that disc and I like that version of " Eminence Front " with the different keyboard player ( not John Rabbit Bundrick ) -- I forget the guy's name but he stepped in and played keyboards for The Who at the 2001 concert for NYC gig . Yet , an even BETTER version is the 09/19/02 Denver show where Pete Townshend was on fire and had to carry the show as Roger's voice was starting to fade ......the guitar work on Eminence Front is spectacular and I ordered my soundboard from Pete's web site .

What ????? Oh sure , Here you go Gary :

According to Soundscan , " Face Dances " to date has sold more than eighty million copies worldwide with bootleg / pirated copies in China running at one hundred piasters a piece ( that's the equivalent of two hundred and fifty English pounds ) . In Ceylon , a " Face Dances " disc is considered priceless while in Antigua its mere possession gets you " Beach Front Property " and you are put out to stud .

Faking your band's death is a fine show biz tradition.

steel driving hammer No not yet, LOL! Can you beleive I snuck out from work and saw T3 yesterday?

Gotta take chances my young Joey!!

If you wanna take off early from the office, but don’t want your boss to know? If you use Microsoft Outlook to send e-mail at work, chances are this trick will provide you the perfect alibi: Compose a new e-mail message to your boss—whatever’s suitable (“Hey Bob, can we talk about X, Y, Z tomorrow?”). Before you hit “Send,” go to the overhead menu and choose “File,” then “Properties.” In the window that opens, choose “Send Options,” and in the next window, click “Microsoft Exchange Server.” If you can get this far, you’re golden. In the new window, choose “Send this item.” Change the radio button from “Immediately” to “In X minutes,” then type 30, 60, 120—whatever time you want the e-mail sent. Close out all the boxes and hit “Send.” Your boss will get your e-mail later, and think you’ve been working hard all night long. P.S. You might want to test this out by sending yourself a time-delayed e-mail first.

Without Risk there is no reward .

sirmoonie NEWS BASH!

NEWS FLASH!

Frist calls for constitutional ban on Howe Academy. "That is simply repugnant" said the first term senator flanked by the First Brother John Ellis ("Jeb") Bush and fellow Congressmen Jim Kolbe and Mark Foley. "If everyone did things the Howe way, we'd be knee deep in decay and that would be alarming if it were theoretically projected to happen. The traditional breakdown of the American family will be abhored by all of those who are supportive of the individual right to abhor in all its moral forms. Thats why some of us are great living in this nation."

Critics claim the surging Howe ban movement will detract attention, time, and precious federal resources away from like real important shit like flag burning amendments and compulsory school prayer. Frist denied such claims. "We can cover all that stuff in one big mongo-ass amorphous omnibus Amendment banning......you know, that sort of stuff and its ancillaries whatever they might be."

MASH!

HASH!

jb Mellencamp's performance on SNL (when he was known as John Cougar) was one of the most embarrassing spectacles I've ever witnessed. I think his big song at the time was "I need a lover that won't drive me crazy"? He was trying to act like Jagger , but looked like a fool. I believe he also has a heart condition......(:
