jb Another poor seller....very humiliating.

mac_daddy i would imagine this is will be one of the hardest tickets to get this tour, aside from the long-rumored club shows...

someone on iorr suggested this might be the ppv/dvd show - i think that is a very good guess, esp. since they did msg last year, and this one is early enough in the tour to build a little hype for the album, which very well might be released closed to that date...

tix go on sale on a monday. i bet it sells out immediately...

so if msg is around 19,000 seats, and the bowl is just under 18,000 - how many other sub-20,000 venues are they playing this time around..? are they confirmed as playing any venue smaller than the hollywood bowl..?

consider this...

some web bbs software in use today allows users to ignore all posts of other users - they are just filtered out by username. you could also filter certain keywords. they wont even show up when a page/thread is loaded. setting the filter is as easy as changing one's avatar, or logging in to check one's postcount...

it's coming...

WORD!!!

i might even think the bowl show might have the slight edge - it depends if you favor the energy of the opener, or the polish of a band hitting in stride, in a great venue, aiming to please...

you really cant go wrong either way - it's certainly a special date with the world's greatest rock 'n roll band!!!

it will be quite interesting to see how many of these club shows come to happen, i think we got 5 last tour in the States, so far the rumors are Vic in chicago, Palladium, Beacon, Borgota, ???? will these happen and will more be added?

Last tour you got five in the US (Chicago, Boston, NYC, LA, Philly), the warm up gig in Toronto and the Las Vegas one (not a 'club' show like the rest as it was really a 'casino' show with prices that bore no relation to the theatre shows in other cities)

I dont expect many small shows on this tour. On the 2005 leg, expect theatre shows in New York and Hollywood and the casino show in Atlantic City (rumour is there may be two there) plus a short warm up show in Toronto as usual. Maybe there'll be one or two in the January/February North American leg - probably Chicago, if anywhere (although a second arena show there is a possible alternative) and maybe another show for those willing to go to Vegas and spend megabucks on a casino show.

Reason there were so many last time was because of the "small medium and large" format in major cities. Theres no indication that will happen this time around, unfortunately.

THE WHO played there last year and Pete Townshend commented on how the stage no longer looks / feels like a giant " Testicle Factory " or a giant " White Vagina " .

What does it all mean ?!?!?!?! .............Why , THIS !!! :

" Paris and Nikki's mom, Kathy Hilton, called in to promote her new reality series, "I Want to be a Hilton", which premiers tonight (June 21) on NBC at 9PM EST. Howard thought there might be a flaw in the premise of the show, though. He thought that the fact that Paris and Nikki were so wild would make people skeptical about taking lessons from Kathy. Kathy, however, staunchly defended her daughters and pointed out the thriving businesses that Paris runs -- everything from perfumes to nightclubs. They talked a little about Paris' sex tape which Kathy has not seen, but thinks should never have been released. Howard pointed out that it got Paris tons of publicity at just the right time, so maybe Kathy should consider putting one out to help her new show. Kathy thought that was pretty funny. Howard tried to get to the bottom of the apparent feud between Nicole Ritchie and Paris, but Kathy wouldn't comment. Although she did say that she believes the two will eventually get over this and make up. Howard questioned Kathy about her sex life a little and discovered that she met her husband, Rick Hilton, when she was 15 and he was the first guy she ever slept with. When Howard asked if Rick was the only guy she had had sex with, Kathy seemed to get very embarrassed, but insisted he was. Howard pressed for more details, but Kathy threatened to "Hiltonize" him if he kept it up. Howard asked a few more sex related questions which brought more "Hiltonizing" threats from Kathy. After she got off the phone, Howard and Artie joked that it might be funny if Kathy tried to "Hiltonize" Mike Tyson or Mighty Joe Young. In the end though, both Howard and Robin thought the show was one they wanted to check out. "

Most of the newer arenas these days hold 18-20K for concerts.

According to iorr, "smaller" capacities for this tour include:
Charlotte Arena - 17K
Calgary Saddledome - 15K
Seattle Key Arena - 17K
Fresno Save Mart Center - 16K
Montreal Bell Centre - 15K

They have never played Red Rocks and I do not think they will play there this time. It would be a great place to do the live dvd though.

well the rumoured dates and venues for MSG and the Hollywood Bowl turned out to be 100% accurate, so I would be hopeful that the rumoured dates and venues for the theatre shows in both cities that went around at the same time would be accurate too
